Fair play to Alpine. He called it bang on the money ;-)

Just goes to show how well informed your predictions can be without ever watching the team ;-)

We're absolutely motoring now....

I'm in my office in Orlando watching the sky sports feed. My American colleagues think i'm frigging mad!!!! AWESOME!!!!!!!

The best sign of all, for me, is the way the goals are being shared around.

We’re a far better side than the “Ricky or nobody” team of last year.

BTW I got a chuckle from the exit song at Oldham – Don’t Look Back in Anger, wasn’t it?

I cannot get my head around this.

What an away win.... What a win in general.

This month is all about statements of intent. Lets keep it up!!!

Thought we'd stutter tonight but what a result - goal scoring isn't a problem anymore!

Dare we start believing? Feels strange being so optimistic.

Adkins on Solent now.....thing that impressed him most was Guly chasing back like mad on 94 minutes to prevent Oldham getting a consolation. Says it all to me.....excuse me while I wipe away a tear.....getting a bit emotional....

Excellent win against a difficult team away from home.

Best thing about tonight is overtaking Brighton's goal difference, our goal difference is now the best in the league and Brighton WILL be looking over their shoulders now.

We could be top by the end of Saturday.

Fantastic win. 6 goals (all different scorers) in mid-week and mid-winter in a Northern sh*thole.

This team is made of sterner stuff than last years, with a better manager.

Long way to go, but on the strength of the last 5 games, definitely grounds for optimism about our promo chances.

Hahaha! Adkins' interview was hilarious..asked whether Puncheon wanted to stay

"listen, it's as simple as this, the wheels are in motion and we've got people on the bus who want to be on the bus, it's as simple as that!"

My 4,932nd attempt to post something since half time.

I'm stunned, never expected that, now I truly believe & those down the road with over abused sphincter muscles must really be clamping their cheeks together after that.

Heck even SAF must have been impressed.

Down side, what's the likelihood of a formal Liverpool bid for Oxo tomorrow.

But right now. one word

BUZZING

Terrible effect that a cup game has on our league form. I guess if we hadn't played Blackpool on Saturday we would have scored 10 tonight ;-)

Great result, the wheels are on the bus and the whole team is in the building

We've been threatening to thump someone for a few weeks now - overhauled Brighton's goal difference advantage now also....just a matter of time before we overtake them - can't wait for Saturday.

Had to laugh at Merson on Sky Sports. Talking through the goals etc we apparently have players called Lalandra, Jardi, Bernard and meJulie playing for us :-) Solent thought Do Prado was man of the match and Merson thought "he weren't that good"!

To be fair we beat them 3-1 in a hack canter last season during a month in which we beat everyone 3-1. The team is no sterner - it has Guly and everyone else simply playing to their full potential finally!

Although I concur that Adkins now looks a better manager than Pardew. Still early days mind.

We are now 15/8 favourites to win the league. Which makes my 4/1 look a fair bet. :)

Finally, we are stamping our authority on this division.

Well done for getting on at 4/1

I think 15/8 is still a good bet. Id say we're about 50-50 to win the division.

Merson is as thick as two short planks, but what do I know I predicted a 2-1 win.
