woodsaint Posted 14 January, 2011 Posted 14 January, 2011 Hopefuly he will try and take a few of the players with him, that would really see the end of bompeys challenge
beatlesaint Posted 14 January, 2011 Posted 14 January, 2011 South Today - Wednesday Night - headline and picture of Mr E. Howe - "Is this the most loyal man in football?" Friday Lunchtime - NO ! Priceless Feel for them cos I know how I would feel if it was us.
trousers Posted 14 January, 2011 Posted 14 January, 2011 All it needs now is for someone to poach Gus Poyet from Brighton , and we'll have it made ..or ...? There's a train of thought that says that having another 'hard to beat' club in the top 2 will do us a favour as they will (hopefully) beat some of the clubs trying to catch us. It's then a simple of matter of us winning a couple of more games than Brighton do in order to secure the title....Easy.
saints-cris Posted 14 January, 2011 Posted 14 January, 2011 Not Howe related.. but Powell has been appointed Charlton manager.

Draino76 Posted 14 January, 2011 Posted 14 January, 2011 "It would be a shame if Eddie went but totally understandable with Burnley. Charlton or Palace would have been a stupid move Fernando" :_
aintforever Posted 14 January, 2011 Posted 14 January, 2011 It would make sense to go to Burnley over those other two, hope he doesn't bugger off before Bournemouth play Brighton next week though.
beatlesaint Posted 14 January, 2011 Posted 14 January, 2011 Wonder what they will do tonight ? Will they go and play out of their skins for him one last time or will they not give a toss ? Howe's team talk would be worth hearing.
Dig Dig Posted 14 January, 2011 Posted 14 January, 2011 Hahaha. Bournemouths chairman deserved that after his cringeworthy annoucement he made the other day outside their stadium that Howe was staying. You could see how uncomfortable Howe looked, now it seems we know why! Do feel a bit sorry for the fans, especially as they were led to believe he was staying Bye bye bompey!
Saint-scooby Posted 14 January, 2011 Posted 14 January, 2011 Howe's team talk would be worth hearing You you and you and you pack your bags we heading up North

Second World War history not his strong point then.

Reynoldson!! Posted 14 January, 2011 Posted 14 January, 2011 Second World War history not his strong point then. Classic 70s comedy films not your strong point then whoooooooooooooooooosh
farawaysaint Posted 14 January, 2011 Posted 14 January, 2011 Say what you like about the Bournemouth fans but they have a sense of humour, I'm loving this thread http://www.bournemouth.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=32517&start=1

sad saints fan Posted 14 January, 2011 Posted 14 January, 2011 about 10mins to go.I am bored so listening to it on solent
S-Clarke Posted 14 January, 2011 Posted 14 January, 2011 Colchester goal disallowed I'll tune in as well then, nothing wrong with being a colchester fan for 10mins.
Lets B Avenue Posted 14 January, 2011 Posted 14 January, 2011 The great Lloyd James has, for once, been allowed on the pitch. Luckily for Colchester, he was not involved in the move.
sad saints fan Posted 14 January, 2011 Posted 14 January, 2011 I'll tune in as well then, nothing wrong with being a colchester fan for 10mins. I will leave it to you then,I am going for a ciggy
RedWillie Posted 14 January, 2011 Posted 14 January, 2011 bournemouth just lumping it in for fletcher, Colchester fininshing stronger, watching it free stream on the net !
trousers Posted 14 January, 2011 Posted 14 January, 2011 Now, now Colchester....not too many please... :-)
Lets B Avenue Posted 14 January, 2011 Posted 14 January, 2011 I've just recognised the ref as the same tw at we had at Colchester last season. The game in the fog. He looks like the sort of numpty that would have been bullied at school. so turns to officialdom to gain some sort of revenge.
Jimmy_D Posted 14 January, 2011 Posted 14 January, 2011 Excellent. A chance to put clear water between us and the playoffs tomorrow now.

itchen_dan Posted 14 January, 2011 Posted 14 January, 2011 He's just confirmed he's off to Burnley tomorrow to finalise things. That was his last game as Bournemouth boss.
Justin C Posted 14 January, 2011 Posted 14 January, 2011 I hope he does well, he has handled himself well and deserves a chance at a bigger club.
Saints foreva Posted 14 January, 2011 Posted 14 January, 2011 He's just confirmed he's off to Burnley tomorrow to finalise things. That was his last game as Bournemouth boss. Said he rejected five clubs in his time at Bournemouth. Cortese lying about only offering Adkins the job?
SuperSAINT Posted 14 January, 2011 Posted 14 January, 2011 He's just confirmed he's off to Burnley tomorrow to finalise things. That was his last game as Bournemouth boss. What a fantastic job he's done there. (Great news for us that he's gone though).
Saint_clark Posted 14 January, 2011 Posted 14 January, 2011 Said he rejected five clubs in his time at Bournemouth. Cortese lying about only offering Adkins the job? I trust Cortese far more than Howe and Mitchell - we've been through all this before anyway.
S-Clarke Posted 14 January, 2011 Posted 14 January, 2011 tbf he comes across so well as a manager, fair play to him for wanting to better himself. What he's done at bournemouth with no money is truly amazing. They were an hour from non-league football less than 2 years ago, amazing. He's also just confirmed that his replacement will come from someone already at the club. Fletcher mentioned.
NickG Posted 14 January, 2011 Author Posted 14 January, 2011 good result - B'mth and Charlton - new managers without experience

Kingsland Red Posted 14 January, 2011 Posted 14 January, 2011 good result - B'mth and Charlton - new managers without experience Best situation with Howe/Tindall out of the equation with either Bompey maintaining their good record or Charlton having a surge under their management. COYR
