Can't be many managers who've (alledgedly) been offered 4 different jobs in as many months. His stock his high at the moment that's for sure.

He's done well in the short time he's been managing but Im surprised so many biggish clubs are prepared to take a risk on a 33 year old with only two years experience at one club.

Persoanlly I dont think he will leave them, not sure he has the bottle to leave nice safe little Bournemouth where he has probably got a job for life.

I said to my mate he'll play the "hero"; he's done it before, he'll do it again.

He'll go eventually though, especially as Eddie Mitchell keeps selling his best players...!

I bet that move is more of him being ''pushed'' by Eddie Mitchell as the money they have been offered for him is too good to turn down?

It does make him look a bit of a plank though after coming out 2 days ago and saying how he will stay, he loves the club etc. Would have probably been better for him if he moved the first time.

I heard that Saints were after him !
thats always the way I get a bit of info and someone betters it. Im off to the Western Union telegraph office now to see if i can get any more snippets

If Howe goes Bournemouth will play like us when Pardew left. That just leaves Saints, Brighton and Posh for the top 2 spots...

Sheffield Wednesday? Huddersfield?

Both far better teams than Posh.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe looks set to be named as the new manager of Burnley, BBC Radio Solent understands.

The 33-year-old said on Tuesday that he intended to stay at Dean Court after being linked with vacancies at Charlton and Crystal Palace.

But after reportedly being the subject of an official approach from the Clarets, he could now be unveiled at Turf Moor as early as the weekend.

with Wednesday signing the right kind of player IMO. Nice that we have them at home rather than away.

So Howe didn't stay at Bournemouth because he loves the club, he stayed because he loved the club more than League One Charlton and Championship relegation favourites Crystal Palace !

If he goes to Burnley it will be interesting to see how Eddie Mitchell reacts after all his recent posturing.

if he even goes and has talks with Burnley, his loyalty and status must be questioned by the Cherries fans. Mitchell is probably driving him there for talks as Im pretty sure they are brassic

I would find it rather amusing if he goes now after their elation that he is staying .. all the chanting outside and cheering and stuff... and then a few days later he's off somewhere else!

I'd probably have been questioning it on Tuesday when he came out with this interview:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/b/bournemouth/9357904.stm

Interviewer: What was the one factor that has kept you at this football club?

Howe: I'd say the players, the players here.

Sure someone boos at that point as well! Yep very careful not to gush about the club or the fans.

Still parachute payments in effect, pretty good squad and a fanbase without massively high expectations. I'd say Burnley is a pretty wise move for him.

You would have to see the funny side of it yes........I wonder how the planks that chanted and virtually kissed his backside outside Dean Court Tuesday lunchtime will feel about Eddie Eddie Eddie if he does go ?

And what possible reason/excuse will he come up with that wont make him look a pillock ?

All very tedious......still dont think he has the guts to go tho ;-)

Chris Powell close to becoming Charlton Athletic manager according to a BBC reporter. That is a big gamble, given his lack of experience. Seems a little "too nice" to be a manager.

sweet...thats them fooked then

Looks like he's off to Burnley then! according to South today.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe to leave for Burnley

Burnley will name Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe as their new manager, BBC Radio Solent reports.

The 33-year-old said on Tuesday that he intended to stay at Dean Court after being linked with vacancies at Charlton and Crystal Palace.

But he informed his players on Friday morning that he will join the Clarets after that evening's game at Colchester - his 100th game in charge.

Good move for him and well deserved.

Charlton are not guaranteed promotion and Crystal Palace likely to come down.

Burnley is the best choice and gives him time to develop in a higher league and if he does the Premier Clubs will come knocking. I am sure Burnley will expect him to take them back to the Premier

Eddie Howe has texted solent to say he is making a decision tonight.

It appears that the decision was whether to stay or go to Charlton - however they understant the previously rejected Palace have come back with another offer. What do you think this decision will mean for us?

I feel if he departs Bournemouth they will drop away.

He may have positive impact on Charlton so can't help thinking him going to palace would be best news for us tonight.

Leaving B'mth trying to find new manager and asst with little money and Charlton looking for a 2nd choice.

All it needs now is for someone to poach Gus Poyet from Brighton , and we'll have it made ..or ...?

I feel really sorry for Bournemouth fans. Really really not on from EH. So much for 'the most loyal man in football'!

edit: good news for us though, they will slip away now along with Charlton imho

I think it is a good move for him. He has nothing left to prove at Bournemouth and if he does a good job there over the next few years then a big club will come in for him.
