Busy day for managers.

Paul Jewell in at Ipswich

Keith Hill of Rochdale in talks with palace

Charlton in talks with Howe

Aldershot sack Kevin Dillon

Any more for the story mill?

I think that the Palace job and the pressure to keep them up would have been too big for him in the same way as I think being Saints manager would. He always comes across to me as a moaning, petulant little school boy when things go against him, and has anyone ever seen him smile?? I am not convinced that he has the confidence in himself that others seem to have in him. Time will tell of course.

Fair play to the guy, he does seem a bit petulant at times but he's obviously talented to get B'mouth to where they are with barely any funds and getting his best players sold off. If B'mouth don't go up this season then I reckon he will leave though, a bigger team will inevitably come in for him.

Not sure about him (not his ability, i should add). 4 clubs have been interested this season (at least) and he hasn't gone to any. Maybe the clubs weren't right for him, but he'd probably have known that before he went to talk to them (wrong division / wrong end of the division) and he strung all of them, including Bompey, for a few days. It's starting to become a pantomime - maybe he's going to go to Burnley instead if they've got a bit of cash from the parachute and still have a chance of promotion.

Personally I don't believe he was offered the Saints job (but the reliable info is that he applied so must have been pretty keen). More likely once it came out he wasn't first choice he decided he wasn't going to be second choice....which is fair enough.

Whichever way you cut it, he's not staying because of loyalty, he's staying because he thinks there's a better offer down the line.

got to hand it to him, fair play for showing such loyalty, not many around like that anymore.

How can you say he's loyal when he keeps talking to other clubs?

He will go when the money's right.

I wish he was going as all he does is whine and moan after the matches during his interviews.

He wile leave in the summer when he realises he cannot take them any further as they have

no cash to stregthen the squad...shame but`s that`s how it is....

lol at the cherries fans....kissing his arse a few days ago and he knew all along he was not staying..

he is completely full of himself.

not a bad day...charlton and now bournemouth getting screwed over

Hang on did he not pledge his support to Bournemouth just yesterday with much gushing and tales of when he was a lad at Bournemouth. Obviously the Burnley offer and the compensation was too much for Mad Eddie to forego.

Personally, I think I'd rather he stayed where he is. Gob aside, I think he's done a reasonably good job there, and Burnley could potentially do us more harm next season than Bompey this.
