for_heaven's_Saint Posted 11 January, 2011 Share Posted 11 January, 2011 Rooney may well get a run out, at least off the bench, as his return from injury was said at the weekend as around 2 weeks, just in time for some match fitness testing at SMS. Meh, Fonte's better than Rooney anyway.
MadDogMatt Posted 11 January, 2011 Share Posted 11 January, 2011 Should make for a cracking atmosphere with plenty of time for a pre match beer Looking for at least 7 points from the next league games to keep the momentum COYR
.comsaint Posted 11 January, 2011 Share Posted 11 January, 2011 I doubt it will be on live. TV is always obsessed by prem v prem fixtures. Hope I'm wrong mind you, because I can't go on the saturday, but if it's moved to the sunday I can. Anyone know when the TV games will be announced? Let's be honest; it was always going to be live on telly! Man Utd's trip to Southampton will be broadcast live on ITV1. Southampton v Manchester United The FA Cup sponsored by E.ON Fourth Round Proper 5.15pm, Saturday 29 January 2011 St Mary's Stadium, Southampton FC Winning clubs will receive £90,000 from The FA prize fund Live on ITV1
saintmatt Posted 11 January, 2011 Share Posted 11 January, 2011 Its easy to disparage the woman with the fairy cakes and the apocryphal old gits with blankets, but they are our core support - the ones who have supported Saints for 30 years or more and havent drifted away just because Saints have fallen down to league 1. The lads culture isnt there as much because Saints havent been successful. Once we start to climb the leagues, get more glamour matches and are on tv more the real plastics - the ones who think they are hardcore but really are more interested in dressing in the right brands and following a successful team, will start coming again. +1, im so glad someone made this point - i have absolute top respect for the old guys and girls that still follow saints and am sure ill be doind exactly the same thing when im their age. if JRM lets me of course... Tom8558 Posted 11 January, 2011 Share Posted 11 January, 2011 I reckon chaplow should take it rooney and berbatov when the refs not looking and accuse them of diving.
Jonnyboy Posted 11 January, 2011 Share Posted 11 January, 2011 I went along to the 2008 chairty shield when they beat the Skates on pens, went with some Utd fans in their end. Found their fans sound as, good lads, some good songs and a lot of proper fans there. Not like a lot of the flakey, studenty and middle clas mongtards we get at a lot of away games, singing every song at 10000000 mph. Also their flags and banners are quality, best one was red, white and black horizontal stripes, a Man Utd badge in middle and the James lyric "If i hadn't see such riches i could live with being poor" written around it. Class. United have the best away support in the country IMO. A middle class student band if ever i heard one.
