Daren W Posted 9 January, 2011 Posted 9 January, 2011 Cup runs cost us promotion last season, that's why I say it. Sorry but that's absolute nonsense... The team I saw was brimming with confidence after that Wembley run. Ten points deduction and effectively starting the club from scratch cost us promotion, the cup run had nothing, I repeat NOTHING to do with it. You ask anyone who's done anything in football, or who knows anything about football, and they will tell you that when you're winning games and are hitting real form, you can't wait for the next game. Yeah, and all that managerial conflict worked wonders on the club, didnt it ? If there was trouble behind the scenes it had absolutely nothing to do with the Johnsons Paint Trophy win... How on earth anyone could have wished we'd lost yesterday is beyond me...

mitch01 Posted 9 January, 2011 Posted 9 January, 2011 Coventry, Forest, Notts County, Burton or Derby away please. But then again I'd head back down south from uni for a juicy home tie anyway.
madruss Posted 9 January, 2011 Posted 9 January, 2011 Cup runs cost us promotion last season, that's why I say it. This is completely untrue, and you will not be able to find any evidence to back this up. Our form in the 2nd half of the season was the best in the league, despite this supposed 'hinderance' of being in 2 cups. Two things cost us. The 1st 10 games and the -10. As our superb manager would say, it's as simple as that!
Michelle Posted 9 January, 2011 Posted 9 January, 2011 Arsenal, Wigan, Cardiff, Swansea, Burton or Stevenage please.
Michelle Posted 9 January, 2011 Posted 9 January, 2011 Arsenal, Wigan, Cardiff, Swansea, Burton or Stevenage please. I should have added "away" in that sentence.
Toomer Posted 9 January, 2011 Posted 9 January, 2011 Villa, Villa, Villa............ Villa Villa, Villa Home or away. Shame Hughie is to old to play.
Sour Mash Posted 9 January, 2011 Posted 9 January, 2011 Crawley, Burton, Stevenage, Torquay or Wigan away for me please.

Mattio Posted 9 January, 2011 Posted 9 January, 2011 tbh we have a chance if they underestimate us and play their youths! doubt they will though
Whitey Grandad Posted 9 January, 2011 Posted 9 January, 2011 Well that's guaranteed an away draw hasn't it!! Home draw, that's all I wanted. Who have we got again?
LGTL Posted 9 January, 2011 Posted 9 January, 2011 Anyone but them. I don't mind losing but theyjust take the ****. At least it should be a little more competitive than last time.
Liquidshokk Posted 9 January, 2011 Posted 9 January, 2011 Here goes another battle for tickets. Think ST holders will get first opportunity?
Liquidshokk Posted 9 January, 2011 Posted 9 January, 2011 Anyone but them. I don't mind losing but theyjust take the ****. At least it should be a little more competitive than last time. Yeah, I'm looking forward to making up for last time. I don't actually think we would struggle against them right now.

deadpanmatt Posted 9 January, 2011 Posted 9 January, 2011 The arrogance of it! http://community.manutd.com/forums/t/144134.aspx
S-Clarke Posted 9 January, 2011 Posted 9 January, 2011 The arrogance of it! http://community.manutd.com/forums/t/144134.aspx That's what they were saying before they played Leeds last year. Let's hope we catch their players as complacent as their fans.
