dubai_phil Posted 8 January, 2011 Posted 8 January, 2011 I tend to agree with with Alpine, I know last year we had -10 but this time last year we had to have 3 different teams because we were in 3 different tournament's how does that help the team to gell? Going on our form of last year after having beat some higher team Tuesdays match will be a disaster! I only hope we have improved. Wait for the abuse :-) No abuse, I actually partially agree with both of you. What I am seeing that is different this year though is that we now appear to have 18 FIRST team players and we have seen over the Xmas & New Year as well as today that the mental approach is different. We're not picking "different teams" as much as picking a different system and players for different games. It means that whereas Hammond & CHaplow have been the fans choice in many games, Morgan has come in alongside Hammond and we didn't miss Chaplow It's a small and subtle difference, I still worry about fixture congestion with so many League games cancelled already and still the bulk of Winter yet to come, but as others have said, most of our rivals are still in there and B'muff may lose Howe
Footballfan Posted 8 January, 2011 Posted 8 January, 2011 Arsenal away have not been to the Emirates yet.

aintforever Posted 8 January, 2011 Posted 8 January, 2011 Arsenal, Chelsea or Spurs away - I fancy a big tear up in London.
Chez Posted 8 January, 2011 Posted 8 January, 2011 Cup runs cost us promotion last season, that's why I say it. I understand your sentiments about wanting to go out soi we can concentrate on the league, but for some of us the FA Cup is still extremely special and would love see our side progress in it. We are also greedy. Note that there is only one cup competition this time, and we were unbeaten after FA Cup games lat season. One more thing, the Wycombe game was not rearranged due to cup games it was a scheduled midweek game. Besides the defeat had nothing to do with tiredness or injuries due to cup runs. We were outstanding the weekend before winning away at Norwich (after a tough cup game by the way) and then we scored five twice in the games after Wycombe. It was just a very bad display, nothing more nothing less. There were others during the season, also not down to cup run games.
Griffo Posted 8 January, 2011 Posted 8 January, 2011 I know the draw is tomorrow, but can't for the life of my see it in the tv guide. Channel/time?
Nexstar Posted 8 January, 2011 Posted 8 January, 2011 I know the draw is tomorrow, but can't for the life of my see it in the tv guide. Channel/time? Think it's straight after the United/Liverpool game, about 3:45

Badger Posted 8 January, 2011 Posted 8 January, 2011 Everton at St Mary's please If we draw them then it gives us time to sign a dwarf who will score a last second injury time winner for us.
Dr Who? Posted 8 January, 2011 Posted 8 January, 2011 Would love Steveage as it is just down the road, or Arsenal away, as I have never been to their new ground.
Spudders Posted 8 January, 2011 Posted 8 January, 2011 Villa, Villa, Villa............ Villa Villa, Villa Home or away.
simonsays Posted 9 January, 2011 Posted 9 January, 2011 Yes, because heaven forbid I degree with the consensus, eh ? The symptoms of manic-depressive illness or bipolar disorder are classified according to either manic or depressive episodes. Manic depressive states are diagnosed as: Manic episode: A manic episode is diagnosed if elevated mood occurs with 3 or more of the other symptoms most of the day, nearly every day, or for 1 week or longer. If the mood is irritable, 4 additional symptoms must be present. Depressive episode: A depressive episode is diagnosed if 5 or more of these symptoms last most of the day, nearly every day, or for a period of 2 weeks or longer. Mixed bipolar episode: In some people, however, symptoms of mania and depression can occur together in a mixed bipolar state. A person could have a very sad, hopeless mood, while feeling energized at the same time.
Spudders Posted 9 January, 2011 Posted 9 January, 2011 Villa, Villa, Villa............ Villa Villa, Villa Home or away. Or Liverpoool at Anfield. Although I've just realised they aren't likely to get past man u are they!
BlakeySFC Posted 9 January, 2011 Posted 9 January, 2011 Basically any Prem team for me, want to see us keep testing ourselves
LeBenali Posted 9 January, 2011 Posted 9 January, 2011 Brighton away, purely because I'll be in Bognor that weekend, so will be the most convinient game!
Gemmel Posted 9 January, 2011 Posted 9 January, 2011 I tend to agree with with Alpine, I know last year we had -10 but this time last year we had to have 3 different teams because we were in 3 different tournament's how does that help the team to gell? Wait for the abuse :-) Rule one means your missus has to get her knorkers out, so we will settle for rule 2; Nobody ever agrees with Alpine. He is a manic depressive who doesnt watch any games, is very over weight and has suicidal tendancies. Go read his comments on the Ashes and you might understand
rooney Posted 9 January, 2011 Posted 9 January, 2011 West Ham or Villa at SMS please That will do nicely for me too.
ghq Posted 9 January, 2011 Posted 9 January, 2011 I don't care who we get in the next round, but really would like to be in the championship next season. Pleased with the win though.

Really, its bizarre how aggressive this place becomes when we win...
BGF Posted 9 January, 2011 Posted 9 January, 2011 Jesus, thats a bit uncalled for. Really, its bizarre how aggressive this place becomes when we win... Just think if we had lost the forum would be full with the same people saying "thank goodness we lost" or words to that effect :-) you just can't win.
Saint_Mabes Posted 9 January, 2011 Posted 9 January, 2011 Arsenal away (the prem team I follow most and want to see Walcott again) Liverpool away (went to uni there, got mates still there - but expensive to get too!) Everton away (as above)
georgeweahscousin Posted 9 January, 2011 Posted 9 January, 2011 harry at home I quite fancy that too. Tin hat for twitchface. Would be nice to see Bale, Crouch, and possibly Beckham too.....
Under Weststand Posted 9 January, 2011 Posted 9 January, 2011 Liverpool at Anfield would be good, as it would mean United were already out always a good thing. Also Liverpool have a history last couple of years of loosing to lower league opposition at Anfield bring it on!
Andoverian Posted 9 January, 2011 Posted 9 January, 2011 Liverpool at home. That would be tasty and they wouldn't fancy coming down here one little bit.
