Saint Garrett Posted 8 January, 2011 Posted 8 January, 2011 Been mentioned in other threads but I think he deserves his own. He was outstanding today. His vision, and touch were simply faultless, and he managed to get stuck in without getting a booking today! It seemed that the 4-3-1-2 or whatever it was, suited him today and gave him a role alongside Hammond and Puncheon to be a bit more creative and ping the ball about. His reading of the game is also fantastic. There's not a bad thing I could say about his performance today - MoM for me. We have ourselves a top youngster and is showing why he is so highly rated (especially on FM!!)
Nexstar Posted 8 January, 2011 Posted 8 January, 2011 Has some great touches, passes and tricks today. MOTM for me
Causer Posted 8 January, 2011 Posted 8 January, 2011 Completely agree Morgan dominated the midfield and was the lynchpin for our attacks today. MOTM for me as well.
Kingsland Red Posted 8 January, 2011 Posted 8 January, 2011 Spiderman stood out today. His reading of the game and the timing of his tackling was class!
Chez Posted 8 January, 2011 Posted 8 January, 2011 To continue this briliant winter period I'd like to hear that he has also siged 4.5 year contract. Still find it amusing there are fans that don't see what he has to offer.
miserableoldgit Posted 8 January, 2011 Posted 8 January, 2011 Cannot argue. MoM in an outstanding team performance. Looked your archetypal "cultured midfield general" today. Superb!
SoccerMom Posted 8 January, 2011 Posted 8 January, 2011 Has some great touches, passes and tricks today. MOTM for me And me
musesaint Posted 8 January, 2011 Posted 8 January, 2011 MoM for me...totally dominated the midfield and didn't put a foot wrong When's his contract up?? ....we CANNOT afford to lose him !! Fact

Still find it amusing there are fans that don't see what he has to offer. I think it's not offering it enough. He was outstanding today (my MOM) but he hasn't been putting performances like that in on a regular basis (or at all) this season and that's were the problem lies for me.
corky morris Posted 8 January, 2011 Posted 8 January, 2011 Awesome today & no coincidence that he was playing in the deeper central role - the role that Adkins should have had him playing earlier in the season & in future!

He was outstanding today (my MOM) but he hasn't been putting performances like that in on a regular basis (or at all) this season and that's were the problem lies for me. You've described Lambert as well. Now they're both coming good - hurrah for us!
benjii Posted 8 January, 2011 Posted 8 January, 2011 Awesome today & no coincidence that he was playing in the deeper central role - the role that Adkins should have had him playing earlier in the season & in future! He was playing on the right of three, not in a deeper role.
corky morris Posted 8 January, 2011 Posted 8 January, 2011 He was playing on the right of three, not in a deeper role. He started on the right & moved inside & deeper in the second half............
John Boy Saint Posted 8 January, 2011 Posted 8 January, 2011 Morgan was without doubt MOTM by a country mile today. Although I expect on the MOTM text compo in the ground Barney or Rickie probably got the vote.
Deppo Posted 8 January, 2011 Posted 8 January, 2011 He always does seem to show his class when we play against opposition from higher up the leagues. If we can keep until we get to the Premiership, I think that'll be the stage where he'd really shine.
Saint Garrett Posted 8 January, 2011 Author Posted 8 January, 2011 He started on the right & moved inside & deeper in the second half............ He moved deeper central when Hammond went off.
doddisalegend Posted 8 January, 2011 Posted 8 January, 2011 He was playing on the right of three, not in a deeper role. He started on the right & moved inside & deeper in the second half............ There was loads of movement today our players were popping up all over the place it all seemed very fluid
doddisalegend Posted 8 January, 2011 Posted 8 January, 2011 You've described Lambert as well. Now they're both coming good - hurrah for us! Lambert looked hungry for goals today he seems to be going for goal a lot more often now, earlier in the season he seemed afraid to shoot. Wish he'd sort his free kicks out though, back to last seasons standard.
sfc4prem Posted 8 January, 2011 Posted 8 January, 2011 We really need to get this lad signed up on a long contract. Absolutely sensational today. To top it off he produced a quality bit of skill that made me scream with joy.
S-Clarke Posted 8 January, 2011 Posted 8 January, 2011 Top class player. So lucky to have him at L1 level. We have some stunning young talents at this football club, if we can keep them and progress through the leagues the premership could be fun...
Whitey Grandad Posted 8 January, 2011 Posted 8 January, 2011 I think it's not offering it enough. He was outstanding today (my MOM) but he hasn't been putting performances like that in on a regular basis (or at all) this season and that's were the problem lies for me. That's how I feel about him.
Chez Posted 8 January, 2011 Posted 8 January, 2011 There was loads of movement today our players were popping up all over the place it all seemed very fluid as has been said bythe two posters, he started on the right of three central midfielders, but when Hammond went off he moved into his position - the centre of the three central midfielders.
Chez Posted 8 January, 2011 Posted 8 January, 2011 We really need to get this lad signed up on a long contract. Absolutely sensational today. I keep saying it, we need to try and get him on a five year deal, he is that good.
saints-cris Posted 9 January, 2011 Posted 9 January, 2011 He is a class player on his day. Once he starts making 'his day' more consistent then hes guna be exactly what we hoped he would be. His passing is a class above.
