Oldham build up

Bucks Saint

Recommended Posts

We have been on a fantastic run of results would be awesome if we can continue the winning streak but they have a excellent home record only losing 1 all season delighted if we get the win 2 1 seems like a fair bet but I would settle for a draw COYS

Yeh I agree with West End Saint here as I like everyone else would like to get a win and all 3 points tonight and go above Bournemouth but a draw away at a decent Oldham side is not the end of the world and we will still be in the promotion hunt as well but we will see!

I was up for it before I went to bed last night as I had my match and travel tickets ready but I didn't feel well this morning which sucked soo I have given it a miss tonight and will be listening to Dave Merrington on Solent instead and that I should be at Notts County, Tranmere and the Man U games which aint bad!

COYR :D!!

No doubt we have already had the 'we should win every game' crew on.

But make no mistake, this will be a tough game, a win tonight will, for me, certainly put a lot of faith in our potential league win, and definately go a long way into showing the league we are the real deal this year.

I think we will knick it by the odd goal, 1-0 or 2-1, Dickov seems a decent manager, so no doubt he knows how we play and will attempt to stifle us.

Would take a draw tonight, a win would be fantastic though.

If we can win tonight on a cold dark night, mid week away from home up north, on a poor pitch, against a team that's got a good home record, then it will show how we have progressed far more than recent home games. In the past this has often been the recipe for a disappointing performance, lets hope things have finally changed.

Oldham Away = Draw

Notts County Home = ??!?

Tranmere Away = Should Win

Charlton Home = Win?!?

Interesting set of games coming up ... (is there ever an uninteresting period with league 1) ... Whats acceptable? win 2? draw and lose 1? ...if we are going up convincingly we need to win them all but I can see us losing one of those ... Might see the first draw for a while, however if we beat Oldham away tuesday night we might just go on to win the other 3 games, which is why tuesday is so critical ... COYR you can do it

In my mind I think all we need to do is pick up an average of 2 points per game (i.e. win our home games and draw or better in away games on average). That is achievable based on our current form and if we continue that then we will end up either 1st / 2nd as no other team seems capable of 2 points per game in this league other than Brighton. 2 home wins and 2 draws I'd be very happy with but 7-9 points should be the minimum target. If we can get 10 or more then that will be excellent.

Davis Richsn Fonte Jaidi Dicksn Chamb Chap Schneidln Lallana Lambert Guly

thats the team

Guly was always going to play, more important to me than Ricky at the moment. Was not sure whether Hammond Or Schneiderlin would play, just hope Morgan has something left in the tank for tonight. I expect Oldham will line up 4411 and I expect Saints to do likewise. If we don't lose the midfield we should win this one (everything crossed).

We seriously can't be letting Puncheon go. Madness. Forget the fact he might not want to stay-if that was the case, then he managed to play pretty well on Saturday whilst 'not wanting to stay'. He's the sort of player, if Adkins can get the best out of him, that could stay with us all the way up to the Premier League. I'm disappointed in Adkins and Crosby that they've not resolved the issue behind the scene.

Right side concerns me. Chamberlain will get tired after 70 mins and we don't have a replacement

Lots of options tonight for that...

Guly has played on the right before and put Barnard upfront.

or

Lallana on the right, Dickson on the left and bring Harding on at left back.

or

Danny Butterfield on at right midfield, with Richardson behind to secure the right up late on to hopefully hold a lead.
