um pahars Posted 7 January, 2011 Posted 7 January, 2011 (edited) Just had some gossip that NORWICH have made an offer for Lambert. Anyone else heard similar???? Personally would not want him to go, nor do I think Forest would be a big enough step up to tempt him (not that I think a Premiership team would be after him). Are we sniffing around anyone at Forest which mena he could be part of a deal??? (apologies if someone has posted this before) Edited 7 January, 2011 by um pahars
Saint_Jonny Posted 7 January, 2011 Posted 7 January, 2011 I don't think we'll be letting him go to anyone in this window, just as hes finding a bit of form for us. Good chance he'll be in the championship with saints next season anyway.
Bucks Saint Posted 7 January, 2011 Posted 7 January, 2011 Most Championship sides would struggle to (a) offer what Saints would want - even if we wanted to sell; and (b) offer Lambert more than what he is on at Saints - even if he wanted to move. Non starter IMHO
thesaint sfc Posted 7 January, 2011 Posted 7 January, 2011 I heard that Stevo had a threesome with candice and sandra and got chlamydia.
Miltonaggro Posted 7 January, 2011 Posted 7 January, 2011 Can't see this one at all, in the current situation a move sideways at best. The only way this would seem to have legs is if RL is unhappy or NA doesn't want him for his team, neither of which seems to be the case. As with the Seabourne rumour, lazy journalists on a quiet day stating the bleeding obvious - that some times teams in a higher division target players in the top teams of the league below - unfortunately SFC don't fit the standard blueprint and most of the local rag hacks are too f**king lazy to do the appropriate research! Next... Well not really sideways, Forest are doing pretty well in the NPC and could go into the automatic promotion spots if they win their games in hand. I could see them bidding for a player like Lambert but whether he'd want to go there is something else.As they've signed Tudgay recently it's probably old news anyway. gaz Posted 7 January, 2011 Posted 7 January, 2011 (edited) Forest just signed Marcus Tudgay on loan, they don't need any more strikers. Robert Earnshaw Dele Adebola Dexter Blackstock David McGoldrick Nathan Tyson Gareth McCleary Marcus Tudgay Nialle Rodney Joe Gardner Edited 7 January, 2011 by gaz
Gingeletiss Posted 7 January, 2011 Posted 7 January, 2011 Rumour has it, that we have had a 3 million pound bid from Newcastle, just rumour mind!
Cricketphilly Posted 7 January, 2011 Posted 7 January, 2011 Rumour has it, that we have had a 3 million pound bid from Newcastle, just rumour mind! No rumours allowed, only hard facts please.
labibs Posted 7 January, 2011 Posted 7 January, 2011 Forest just signed Marcus Tudgay on loan, they don't need any more strikers. Robert Earnshaw Dele Adebola Dexter Blackstock David McGoldrick Nathan Tyson Gareth McCleary Marcus Tudgay Nialle Rodney Joe Gardner Didn't they also sign Findley, the American striker recently? 10 strikers at the club and Davies still moans about not being backed on transfers! Can't see the Lambert move happening, doesn't make any sense to me
John B Posted 7 January, 2011 Posted 7 January, 2011 Lets face it anybody leaving SFC for more money or for a higher League is stupid so it wont happen
Wadge Posted 7 January, 2011 Posted 7 January, 2011 I thought Pardew might make some bids for our players after bigging up players from lower leagues doing well in the premier league like Charlie Adams. Just trying to get the Geordies ready for some league 1 players coming in...
Chez Posted 7 January, 2011 Posted 7 January, 2011 Most Championship sides would struggle to (a) offer what Saints would want - even if we wanted to sell; and (b) offer Lambert more than what he is on at Saints - even if he wanted to move. Non starter IMHO Forest are not `most championship' sides. They have a minted a chairman and manager that has bent his ear so much over the last twelve months about the need to speculate to accumulate, I wouldn't be surprised if this was true. Blackstock is out for the season and Adelbola is on his last legs (he'll be gone in the summer whatever happens), they have not warmed to Garner and he may go back to Huddersfield. McGoldrick has been poor, Tyson plays out wide and they are even having problems with Ernie as he is out of contract in the summer and wants a bigger contract than the one he has, which Forest are refusing to offer. All in all I can say that they may well be in the hunt.
Chez Posted 7 January, 2011 Posted 7 January, 2011 Can't see this one at all, in the current situation a move sideways at best. how is a move to a side near the top of the league above a sideways move?
Chez Posted 7 January, 2011 Posted 7 January, 2011 (edited) Robert Earnshaw - out of contract at end of season and wants pay rise Dele Adebola - **** and going at end of season anyway Dexter Blackstock - out for season David McGoldrick - injured and hardly ever gets game Nathan Tyson - playing left midfield Gareth McCleary - only ever played out wide Marcus Tudgay Nialle Rodney - nipper yet to play Joe Gardner - been out on loan to Huddersfield, so not wanted Edited 7 January, 2011 by Chez

um pahars Posted 7 January, 2011 Author Posted 7 January, 2011 Just called contact who got me the info and passed on some of your thoughts and he shouted it was NORWICH who were after him you wkner!!!!!! I then suggested he might be confusing Ricky with Paul Lambert, at which point he went quiet and then hung up. Sorry!!!!!!!! Boooooooooooooooooooo
ottery st mary Posted 7 January, 2011 Posted 7 January, 2011 The old Lambert and Butler..up in smoke gag..
Micky Posted 7 January, 2011 Posted 7 January, 2011 As we all seem a little confused about this one, I thought I'd just as well add to that confusion: http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_6639872,00.html
Windmill Arm 2 Posted 7 January, 2011 Posted 7 January, 2011 A little club like Forest cannot afford to buy our players.

(apologies if someone has posted this before) Forest TRACKING Lambert..they'll need a good GPS, he'd only ever consider a move to a Prem. side - I'm sure !
gaz Posted 7 January, 2011 Posted 7 January, 2011 The old Lambert and Butler..up in smoke gag.. Mike Bassett called Benson and Hedges up to the England squad...
Turkish Posted 7 January, 2011 Posted 7 January, 2011 It does make me laugh all the assumptions people make about clubs in the league above not being able to offer what Lambert is on at Saints. I didn't realise everyone had access to players contracts at Saints and the bank accounts and pay structures of every club in English football.
Gingeletiss Posted 7 January, 2011 Posted 7 January, 2011 By all accounts, has resigned from Norwich...as suggested on Talk sport (spit)
Miltonaggro Posted 7 January, 2011 Posted 7 January, 2011 If it is Norwich we should be very afraid indeed. East Anglia's answer to Santos would be able to offer Lambert riches both on and off the field that a division three feeder club like us can only dream of...
Smirking_Saint Posted 7 January, 2011 Posted 7 January, 2011 Why do they want Lambert ?? They have Holt ?? Unless he sorts himself out i would snap their hands off for 3mil
David Strover Posted 7 January, 2011 Posted 7 January, 2011 I think you're getting mixed with the headlines that say people are tracking PAUL LAMBERT of Norwich and the club are saying he is not leaving. I saw a similar headline and got confused until I read the article.

I saw a similar headline and got confused until I read the article. Well i still say the same. If Forest want to offer us 3Mil for Paul Lambert i will kidnapp him and forge the paperwork myself
Gingeletiss Posted 7 January, 2011 Posted 7 January, 2011 By all accounts, has resigned from Norwich...as suggested on Talk sport (spit) Shock horror! talk sport get it wrong again. Makes me mad that they can broadcast this kind of sh1te, without proof.
Chez Posted 7 January, 2011 Posted 7 January, 2011 Why do they want Lambert ?? They have Holt ?? Unless he sorts himself out i would snap their hands off for 3mil he looked almost back to his best at Dagenham, now to do it against slightly better quaity
Thedelldays Posted 7 January, 2011 Posted 7 January, 2011 Shock horror! talk sport get it wrong again. Makes me mad that they can broadcast this kind of sh1te, without proof. freedom of speech and all that
Alain Perrin Posted 7 January, 2011 Posted 7 January, 2011 he shouted it was NORWICH who were after him you wkner!!!!!! Well at least he got one thing right....
hamster Posted 8 January, 2011 Posted 8 January, 2011 Would make a sensible move if we got Jackson in return, younger player more likely to see us into the Prem. Though I'd miss Rickie loads as he seems a natural fans favourite.
