I do not think he will go for it, we might as well do the same. At least it gets you some free press, and I think their new owners want attention!!

It will only be another Robinho. Blackburn will get a player well past his best who will get a massive wage, he will then become unsettled in the Lancashire climate and within 12 months will move on.

I've just read the article on the BBC.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/b/blackburn_rovers/9336036.stm

If you read the article they've actually quoted how much his wages are going to be for the first year and then second and third years. The word naive springs to mind! How do they propose to fund those wages in the long term at a club where attendances are around 23k on average? What will the rest of the squad think?

I'm just grateful that we've got some solid, intelligent and ambitious people in charge of our club. The Blackburn owners seem to be treating the club like some kind of toy at the moment; only time will tell if they actually have the right intentions, but as of now I just think this is some kind of game for them; it seems to be a way for them to show everyone how rich and important they are.

This would break their 5M transfer budget in one fell swoop. Don't think the new owners have any clue about football. It's a good fit. Their fans don't either.
