What the f**k is Brightons problem

Nobody ever mentions it because your lot didn't exactly come out of it with flying colours, probably best forgotten. It was the first game of the New Year and many had been in town from first thing there was trouble down in the town and then afterwards your lot came across the park as we came out and quickly done an about turn!

I maybe wrong but I'm almost sure your biggest attendance that season was against us, if I remember correctly loads of Spurs turned up without tickets when you played them and they're the ones that caused "the worst trouble ever seen in Brighton".

I don't really care tbh, it's never been my thing. I still cringe when we turn up with 3,500 at places like Southend and Orient and it all kicks off. Funny how these never people were nowhere to be seen at the Den in 1986 when half their crowd left with 20 mins still to play and the next thing we hear are bricks being hurled over the exits into the away end.

The tone of your reply makes me cringe in the same way. "your lot...flying colours"? Pmsl. I've been to the Dell dozens of times (half my family are Southampton, as is my best mate) and I've never seen any trouble, or indeed more than a handful who look like they would belong to any sort of firm.

They want to be us, everything about us, we have everything they do not have (including the 32k UEFA Elite stadium).

Pure envy, our set up is a million miles ahead of them, this new stadium will get them on the right track, but still no more than a drop in the ocean.

Surprised this has gone to so many pages, were used to envy normally and can take it in our stride.

I would go green if my manager was Poyet and behaved in the despicable way he does, to me it suggests that the rest of the coaching staff have similar attitudes, which would suggest the club management are just as bad (owned by a poker player = aggressive gambler... **** or bust... not good...).

£93m for a stadium in a recession? Colchester have done one for a fraction, as have Doncaster. £93 million has to be paid back, to Bloom, which will hamper future investment and progress.

That said, I would love to see Brighton and Bompey take 2nd and 3rd and both come up with us to the championship.

Want to be us? Everything about us?

What planet are you on! Good club you maybe but never would i envy you or would ever consider wanting to be you!

Our new stadium just a drop in the ocean? we will see!

93 million for a stadium? Not just 93 million for stadium! Do some research then you will find its not just for the stadium!

32k uefa elite stadium! Elite being a tad to strong! 32k flat pack a carbon copy of other football stadiums.

93 million for 22k seats..

wouldnt you rather have a bigger stadium..or a cheaper one and more money for players..?

our flat pack stadium cost £30m......and which one is more likely to host international games in the future...?

I would hate to have Brightons new tiny stadium plonked in the middle of a farmers field.

Not 93 million just for stadium!

Research it the stadium alone has not cost that!

We had to go in at 22500 capacity to get planning permission any higher at time would have not been granted!

International games who? England v Brazil.

I love Brighton as a place and when I was visiting my girlfriend at the time back in the mmid 90's we used to go and watch them at the Goldstone Ground. I felt really sorry for them when they got shafted by the owners who sold their ground without another one to go to. Since then I have watched them year after year struggle to get their new ground, and struggle in a very small ground. I want to see them succeed, but I also want them to be knocked off the top spot of course I do as I am a Saints fan and want to win the league.

All the banter is fun, and of course we think our club is better, as they are our club. I want Saints to win the league, and Brighton to come second and Bournemouth up in the playoffs, as it would be great to all be in the Championship along with the Skates and Reading. I think we have the best team in league 1 without a doubt, but Brighton have a fantasic manager and a great future ahead of them, and they deserve it, but of course they will never be as successful as Saints.

Let the banter continue, but be 100% sure that they are worried about us and the run we are on!

Lose Poyet and they will NOT go up. Keep it all together and they might just hold in there. I do wonder what would happen if they lost a couple of games on the spin. They tend to lose one but bounce back really well.... which is frustrating!!

Not worried about you at all! As long as we get promoted either way that will be good for me!

Hold on a second, I am not saying it because it is Saints, if it was round the other way and saw a team go from 11th to 2nd in 3 games I would be very worried. Surley that is quite a normal reaction you watch for the teams over your shoulder and hope that they all slip up like an 85 year old on a little ice!

You carry on p*ssing-yourself-laughing cos it was your "tone" that was making me cringe about us not having a "firm" and bigging up the "fights everywhere" with spurs, you sounded pwoper nawty. Just thought I'd let you know what it was like that day in Jan 78 that you didn't know about.

Bit surprised these seagulls still haven't sold out little ol' Withdean yet for their big cup tie/local derby this Saturday, I can understand the skates struggling to sell a thousand tickets, I mean, it's over 40 miles away but a bit shocking BHA are having trouble shifting 7000...

Yes but a few games ago we were only four points clear of second and at present we are now six clear so fair to say you have leaped into second but at the same time we have extended our advantage to six points from the second place team!

yes but we are in better position now than a few games ago!

True, but being a Saints fan I am looking at it through my glasses, and we have closed the gap from 8 to 6 in the last 3 games. Was hoping for 8 down to 4 but dam you late goals. Cannot argue about your home form.

Do you live in Brighton? would love to live there one day.
