What the f**k is Brightons problem

Just because you have a bigger ground doesnt make you a bigger club does it. Your in the lower tier with us and bournemouth so in my opinion you are a ****ing little club as well. With limited resources over the years and we are still above you in the league. your just a small tin pot club in Portsmouth.

What a load of b*ll*cks!! Brighton are a much bigger club than Wigan Athletic and Blackpool (although without B'pool's history) but in a lower division, stuck in a sh!t hole of a ground. Sheffield Wednesday are a bigger club than Saints but they are below us in the league. However the two biggest clubs south west of a line following the M2, M25, M40, M6 and M56 are Souhampton and P*rtsmouth (by a country mile).

Biggest fan base? Won ****in nothing though!

And... most clubs have won '****in' nothing. What is your point? My point is that we are structurally and financially a bigger club than you. Our fan base is the size of a top championship/lower premiership club. We will be back there in a few years time.

I do not get all this arrogance crap. It's a football team, nobody is arrogant because of the football team they so happen to be (born/live/insert other reason) nearest too. Football fans have always talked **** and will always talk more ****. I'm not quite sure what point you have wanted to make in this thread, but you haven't communicated it well. You need to be less confrontational. I suggest you bugger off, re-register under a new nickname in a month or so and maybe then we can have a constructive talk about football rather than this pointless and frankly sad internet posturing.

probably.....

I know you dont think we spend any money..but sad fact...we do

Still 7 billion is a lot of money, not sure that all the branches of the Liebherr family are worth that amount put together let alone just ours. I do think the Liebherr estate's value is overestimated a bit sometimes.

Come back and have a chat after the game at the sports centre or what ever that dump you call a ground is.

WTF is your problem. Did Rickie turn you down for an autograph before the game? Is that where this deranged fascination with us comes from?!

There is a pecking order in football. Manchester United are a bigger club than Chelsea. Liverpool are a bigger club than Newcastle. Southampton allways have and allways will be a bigger club than Brighton and Hove albion.

So who are you looking to bring in then in january? Where are your weaknessess?

We don't have any real weaknesses, still not convinced by the Goalkeeper but thats about it.

Can't hurt to bring in one or 2 more names though.

You are still a ****.

Will see how much you spend in transfer market then?

I cannot be arsed to completely rip your rather tedious arguments apart entirely but I would like to point out that you've contradicted yourself so many times it's hard to keep up. First you give it the biggie about not spending any money in comparison to us (which, in fact, you have), then you wheel out the "We're paupers" line, then you've played the "We're richer than you" card and now you are getting all "ner ner ner ner" over who spends the most in the transfer window.

So... what is exactly is your point?

Agree (unless a solid Championship quality player becomes avaliable at a bargain price) we have good enough players in every position IMO. I hope we don't spend too much this window.

We'll only sign players if they are good enough to get us promoted from the champ next season. We're not interested in average league 1 players like noone! And whilst we're on the subject let's face it we could have had one of your best players if we wanted him, in Calderon, but we didn't! Not good enough I'm afraid so he came crying back to you bum boys!

Big Clubs, Little Clubs, what a load of TOSH. Wigan used to be in Div 4, so are they 'Big' or 'Little'? I began supporting Saints 50 years ago, but despite all the years the team was in Div 1 / Prem I would never have claimed they were a 'Big' Club, mainly because of the limitations of The Dell. With the SMS the prospects improved and a return the the Prem is an achievable ambition, but I don't expect to see Saints become a regular top 6 side.

As for Brighton, speaking as someone who went to school in Hove, they have always been a Div 3 / Div 2 level team, and a couple of seasons in Div 1 did not change that. Their prospects are better now with a capable manager and a new stadium, although the stadium seems to represent lesser ambition than regular Prem football.

As for what's wrong with Brighton - in my opinion, nothing at all. A perfectly good club, fans as good and as bad as anyone else's, and better than some. That a few fans should have an inferiority complex about Saints is no refelection on their club but neither is those fans opinion of SFC worth anything at all.

Straight up the a23 you'll end up at palace(Croydon)..

Hardly a geographical rivalry for Palace tho', they must have a dozen other teams within 10 miles of Selhurst, Brighton are only a rival to them because they were both top dogs in the third Division back in 1977ish and were battling each other to win that league.

Their more obvious rivals are the skates, similar distance, both south coast with some fans living in each others faces. Chichester, Bognor, etc. probably should be Brighton as they're in Sussex but skates can be found living amongst them.

Maybe the bluefew's hoolie reputation is a bit fierce for 'our friends' down the coast, you'd certainly think they'd be concentrating on the skates as they're playing them in the cup next week rather than worrying about us.

I'll say this for 'em tho', they couldn't 'arf run fast back in the 70s/80s ;)

Exactly

they are nearer to the skates and scared off them

agree about them running fast, they used to be out of the goldstone and across that park opposite like a skate on benefit day

It's like being savaged by a dead sheep.

I see that as more like getting abused by a Bournemouth fan.

Abuse from a Brighton supporter is like being threatened by a one armed midget holding a feather duster.

The little fella probably deserves a slap but you don't have the heart, you're too busy laughing.....

:)
