At last an away game that should be on!

Squad rotation perhaps? Barny and Dickson to start and Jaidi back too?

Not a great area for pubs but this is near the ground and opens at 11

Name: The Eastbrook - Location: Dagenham

Address: Dagenham Road, Dagenham, Essex, RM10 7UP

Travel tip allow at least an hour from Waterloo to Dagenham East; note District line as partial closure altough does not effect you if you are travelling from Waterloo - Jubilee.

Lets stay 2nd

Very much looking forward to this.

Great form, nice away game not too far away and another ground to tick off.

This is a big one. Win this and we will show we can win this league. Away wins to lower teams on a cold monday night is exactly the way to show it.

3pm kick off ;).

Sooo important to keep the momentum, stay 2nd, tick one of the extra 5 games away off, and use the squad wisely, as Oldham away next week is more important than the FA Cup on Saturday.

If anyone has a spare ticket please contact me. If you have two spare tickets also contact me. If you do not are you sure it will not be a sell out as they may come and watch us!! Will be a close game as they have found a little bit more fight these days, but if we do not win this it terrible!

Time for us to show we can do it at sh*t-holes in mid-winter. Otherwise, we wont go up. Simples.

I am pretty sure we have more than enough for D&R at the moment, but I would not say that about every team. We struggle to get control of the midfield when the opposition has that extra man in there, Brentford being a stretch too far for us. We will suffer against a team like Brentford, who are good, physical and energetic enough to take the midfield away from us. On form as we are at the moment, I would still expect us to nick it, but only if we have the energy and put in the performance.

It's how we maintain a fit squad playing twice a week that going to be decisive for us. We can do it and Adkins is rotating the squad to minimise our weakness, but all it will take is a couple of key injuries to have us wondering again.

Very annoyed that this game is sold out. Although I have been there before it was supporting my 'second team' Margate, back in their conference days. Was 4-0 to the daggers that day.... I am confident of a reverse in my (our) favour this time.

I think you will quite easily get a ticket in the home end if you really want to go. Doubt you'll be the only Saint doing it.

There are no League One teams in Austria.

clucking bell, you've just brought that horrific night at Wycombe back into my head. cheers.

Just checked forecast. Over 12 hours of sub-zero temperatures on Sunday night / Monday morning. Not expected to get above freezing until late morning of the game.

Chances of another late postponement...?

Hopefully we don't get too complacent, and hopefully they call the game off a hell of a lot earlier than Charlton: I don't want another wasted journey to London. I would take any score that saw us bag three points and here is hoping that Exeter do us a favour against Brighton.

I miss our favourite away score from last year, so I'll bring it back. 3-1 Saints.

I was right in saying Lambert would score from open play against Huddersfield, so I'll make another little predo and say that Morgan will pop one away. (A much riskier prediction, I mustard mit.)

I agree with SNSUN, 3-1.

Davis

Richardson Jaidi Fonte Harding

Lallana Morgan Chaplow Dickson

Lambert Barnard

would be my bet for a starting 11

I would bring Dickson in for Chambo (who looks a bit knackered and could be brought off the bench to terrorise them for the last 30 minutes if needed) and Hammond back in, probably for Morgan, but if we feel Daggers are weak in CM then maybe bring him in for Chaplow.

I wouldn't bring Barney in unless Guly has a knock. It's no coincidence, IMO, that Lambert is looking more like his old self now Guly is finding his feet and settling in. His presence means that the opposition can not afford to double up on Lambert and he gives us an aerial alternative.

Fonte's partner is a question of horses-for-courses IMO. If they have a big lump upfront then it's Jaidi, if they are more subtle then it's Seaborne.

One thing I hope we don't do is change the starting formation. Adkins switched to a diamond in the second half with good effect on Saturday but I think those sort of changes are best employed once we have a foothold in the match. We can't afford slow starts and we can't afford a poor half like we had at Carlisle when we changed shape from the off.

Yeah, I'd go with that too. Feel a bit bad dropping Guly after scoring 2 goals, but you should always pick the strongest team and for me that includes Barnard. Could have had a hat trick in his 20 mins yesterday if he was a bit sharper.

Yes, but Exeter had given up by then and Guly is sharp at the moment. Guly is helping Lambert tremendously IMO.

Give Barney a run out against Blackpool by all means but I would only make changes if they are deemed necessary for fatigue or specific tactical reasons.

chamberlain will play and probably barnard..

pace in industry are key away from hom

I don't think Barnard offers any more industry than Guly does and Chambo looks tired after 60 minutes and physically I don't think we can expect him to start every match.

rest him against blackpool..

infact, rest everyone against blackpool

Guly went off after about 65 mins yday and Nige alluded to him still adapting to the pace of the game so I'd be surprised if he is fit enough to start on Monday. Same goes for Chambo.

Dickson and Barnard/Connolly are more than able deputies, and AC will be quality off the bench if required

The sort of game that will show if the team/squad/manager have improved since last season. Saints aren't good at these sorts of grounds/pitches.

A win tomorrow will show that there is more belief, strength of character and adaptability in the team than last season.

If we lose or draw, it'll just be another of those games which brings out all the doom-sayers- but it won't be catastrophic, we just need to forget about it and move on-

However I believe anything less than a win is really points lost but I don't expect us to win by any more than 2.

A game that a 'typical' Saints side will go and lose....question is...is this a typical Saints side...?

nail on head statement that. Which Saints side will turn out.

First tim ein a long time that I reckon it will easily be a HT/FT win. iirc they have only played at home once in their last 6, couplped with us being so comfortable after 6 homes, we're really getting into our stride now. I know it's a lazy prediction but hey ho.

I'm going for 2-0 (mayve even 2-1) as I expect NA to rein them (us) in a wee bit to avoid complacency, he may throw a few spanners in the works to test their (our) resolve imo.

Oh sod it.....5-0 (Rickie hat-trick).
