Saint_John Posted 29 December, 2010 Posted 29 December, 2010 The BBC have put our 1st two goals (Rickie & Alex) on their League1 roundup http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/9326561.stm (00:04 to 00:24)
Saint_John Posted 29 December, 2010 Posted 29 December, 2010 They have now added the extended highlights as well http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/9326645.stm 00:00 to 1:54

Littlelat17 Posted 29 December, 2010 Posted 29 December, 2010 Proof that their freekick was taken no where near where it should have been taken, proo defending none the less - glad the game didnt hinge on that. Four well taken goals though
Simples Posted 29 December, 2010 Posted 29 December, 2010 Did they start the game playing away from the Northam?
moon monkey Posted 29 December, 2010 Posted 29 December, 2010 Cortese was waiting to make Chamberlain an offer he couldn't refuse
Griffo Posted 29 December, 2010 Posted 29 December, 2010 I thought there was some sort of highlights programme on tonight? Only MOTD, not FLS..
Doctoroncall Posted 29 December, 2010 Posted 29 December, 2010 I thought there was some sort of highlights programme on tonight? Only MOTD, not FLS.. It was when I looked at the schedule yesterday, but I've checked again now and it's been replaced by Hard Rain... grrrr!
Nexstar Posted 29 December, 2010 Posted 29 December, 2010 Did they start the game playing away from the Northam? No, they couldn't be bothered to change at half-time.
StDunko Posted 29 December, 2010 Posted 29 December, 2010 Did they start the game playing away from the Northam? Yeah Hudd won the toss and we changed ends.
sibster Posted 29 December, 2010 Posted 29 December, 2010 Yeah Hudd won the toss and we changed ends. No, we won the toss which meant that we chose ends and Huddersfield kicked off the first half. This means that it was a conscious decision to attack the chapel end in the first half rather than the second-sign of things to come or a decision based on factors such as prevailing wind and rain etc??

Seems we often do well this way round. Most clubs seem to attack towards their vocal support in the second half.
killer fan Posted 30 December, 2010 Author Posted 30 December, 2010 cheers for the hightlights great goal lambert keep it up
hamster Posted 30 December, 2010 Posted 30 December, 2010 Seems we often do well this way round. Most clubs seem to attack towards their vocal support in the second half. Not heard the Chapel so noisy for ages. irks me when the norham patronise them with enthusiastic cheers somewhat as they tend to do when the itchen chip in too. ******s. anyone who has sat in with the visitors will know that they can hear the itchen choir and react more to them than the northam. chapel chapel, give is a song.... shhhhhhh, not quite the same as the old theme from the archers at the dell.
derry Posted 30 December, 2010 Posted 30 December, 2010 I think the relevance of the ends decision is for the away fans not to be close to our goal when the away team is attacking in the second half. They are then deprived of noisy support which is drowned out at the far end.

I agree, lets shoot towards the itchen.
Dr Who? Posted 31 December, 2010 Posted 31 December, 2010 Saturday games are always on BBC by the next day evening! So I would think you will always find Saints goals under the Southampton BBC section or the league 1 section.
