Me and a select block of 41 have been trying to get a few new songs going, have a read, see what you think and sing a long on new years day ....

Radhi Jaidi

My name is Radhi Jaidi, he is about 50, he plays for a team in the south (the saints), when I walk down the street all the people i meet, they say 'hey gorgeous whats your name', .... My Name is ...... (repeat)

Good hey?

Oscar Gobern (to the tune of go west)

Go-Bern, he's always on the bench

Go-Bern, he finds it a wrench

Go-Bern, now he's scored a goal

Go-Bern, he might be on roll

Dan Seaborne (to the tune of adam lallana, messi looks ****e

Born by the sea, born by the sea

Danny Seaborne was born by the sea

For Christmas (Stolen from Man Utd, but about Le Tiss, 12 days of Xmas)

On the 1st day of Christmas my true love gave to me Matthew Le Tissier,

On the 2nd days of Christmas my true love game to me 2 Matt Le Tiss

(you get the drift)

We've had a few and todays win might've sent us over the edge, enjoy !!!!

I love Nigel Adkins

12 days of matt le tiss will make it's debut on new years day ... join in the merriment !!! We need more imaginative (read sh1te) songs.PS my girlfriend made up the gobern song

To the tune of 'A hunting we will go'

His name's too long to sing

His name's too long to sing

Alex Oxlade Chamberlin

His name's too long to sing

I can't remember if I read this here somewhere before. Apologies if I did!

Its easy to remember, subtle, ironic quite amusing etc

Do you mean to the tune of 'He plays down the left, He plays down the right'?

I'm not sure the AOC line scans that well.

Anyway, the long name bit seems a good idea in both of our suggestions.

All we need is the Northam Operatic Chorus to try and get one of the songs going.

He's got a long name,

He's got a long naaaame,

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain,

He's got a long name!

this one cropped on here a few months back:

he's alex oxlade-chamberlain,

his name is too long to fit in a song,

but we will try to fit it in,

cos he's alex oxlade-chamberlain

i thought it was pretty good, but it's never caught on.

also, for lallana (stolen from man utd/ronaldo song)

adam lallana,

adam lallana,

running down the wing,

hear the southampton sing,

adam lallana

The Maxi Rodrigues song that Liverpool sing would fit well with Alex Chamberlain.

'Saints will tear you apart, agaaain' for when we're tearing a team apart/winning.

'I see the Northam End arising,

I see there's trouble on the way,

Don't go out tonight,

Unless you're red and white,

I see there's trouble on the way.'

Didn't we used to sing that a few years back in one form or another?

I take it the "tear you apart again" one is Joy Division?

But what tune for the Northam End arising..?

We do what we want

We do what we want

We're Southampton

We do what we want

We don't really though, do we? I remember Oldham fans singing this when we played up their a few weeks ago, and then sitting down when the stewards told them to.

We need that Lallana song going. Now that Utd have sung it at St Marys there's no excuse to not sing it.

If only the ****ing board bashers in the back row would sing instead of ruin the songs.

Imagine there's no pompey

It's easy if you try

No skates among us, and we're always live on sky

Imagine all the south coast wearing red and White

You---you may say I'm a dreamer/scummer

But I'm not the only one, I hope some day you will join us

And the south will be as one!

Totally agree with this - who goes in a big group that can start this off

Actually think this one is quite good.

Controversial suggestion alert - do we need a (positive) Cortese song?

Cortese*, he's not always

Cortese, he's not always

Cortese...

* as many of you might guess Cortese means courteous in Italian..

Serious suggestion. Could the club put the RL song words in a program or something so people dont just sing LA LA LA for both parts?

What about a hymn book idea, all the songs could be listed in order of service.

Most people know the words to most of the songs. It's just that one people struggle with becasue it's sung quite fast as is quite wordy, which is a shame as it would sound awesome if everybody knew the words.
