dubai_phil Posted 22 December, 2010 Share Posted 22 December, 2010 OK they've been all over the radio and the shopping malls for what seems like months (even here) But what song for you captures the real spirit of Christmas or brings back happy memories. Think for me it's that infernal drone Chris Rea singing Driving Home for Christmas, something I've tried to do for the past 13 years from Heathrow to Me Mum with the presents for family and friends. Don't really like it but it just captures the feelings of the drive down the M3 in late December (and of course heading back out again to the friends and family I now have here) What others mean something for you guys? Slade's Merry Xmas Everybody always reminds me of Top Of The Pops on Xmas Day from my younger days, and Fairy Tale of New York by The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl is simply ther best Xmas song ever FACT.
