Dr Who? Posted 22 December, 2010 Posted 22 December, 2010 For me it has to be Lemmy from Motorhead. I was very big into my rock/metal music between 1990-1995, so to see Lemmy the king of Metal appear in not a great film Airheads was amazing. His line..... 'I used to be editor of the school paper'. What is you best cameo by a music star?
dubai_phil Posted 22 December, 2010 Posted 22 December, 2010 Does Mike Tyson singing in The Hangover count?
the stain Posted 22 December, 2010 Posted 22 December, 2010 Henry Rollins getting beaten up by Al Pacino in Heat. That's quite funny.
Deppo Posted 22 December, 2010 Posted 22 December, 2010 Jarvis Cocker in The Good Night and in Harry Potter. Tim Booth in Batman Begins. The various cameos in 24 Hour Party People - Vini Reilly, Howard Devoto, Paul Ryder, Rowetta, Mike Pickering, Mark E Smith, Dave Haslam, Mani, etc. Not a cameo, but Jimmy Cliff in The Harder They Come.
Sheaf Saint Posted 22 December, 2010 Posted 22 December, 2010 The worst one I can think of is Mick Jagger's godawful 'performance' in Freejack.
saint lard Posted 22 December, 2010 Posted 22 December, 2010 Guns 'n' roses in 'The dead Pool'. Bon Jovi in Ally Mcbeal. Meatloaf in 'The pick of Destiny'

saintbletch Posted 16 February, 2011 Posted 16 February, 2011 how about sting in brimstone and treacle? bet you'd all forgot about that piece of tantric shiiite eh. Tantric shiiite? - Yep, I've had a few of those in my time. How about David Bowie and Ryuichi Sakamoto (Yellow Magic Orchestra) in Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence? Although I'm not sure either performance would strictly be described as a cameo. A cracking soundtrack too.
Pugwash Posted 16 February, 2011 Posted 16 February, 2011 A proper David Bowie cameo, as himself in Zoolander.
SuperMikey Posted 16 February, 2011 Posted 16 February, 2011 Tantric shiiite? - Yep, I've had a few of those in my time. How about David Bowie and Ryuichi Sakamoto (Yellow Magic Orchestra) in Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence? Although I'm not sure either performance would strictly be described as a cameo. A cracking soundtrack too. Ryuichi Sakamoto actually composed the soundtrack, it's one of my favourites. Excellent composer.
Verbal Posted 17 February, 2011 Posted 17 February, 2011 Timberlake in The Social Network is surprisingly good.
keithd Posted 17 February, 2011 Posted 17 February, 2011 Madonna is amazing in anything she stars in. Cher was smashing in that film about a man with a pelvis for a face But Meatloaf in Fightclub wins it. Altho Whipme Houston was brilliant in Bodyguard
