They will kill the Stig character by drive by. Ben Collins remains live and well.

 

I want to see emergency Stig though. He deserved screen time.

Nothing wrong with a bit of motoring humor. What other programs are out there? 5th gear yawn.

It does look tired, and the series have been getting worse for 1/2 years. However the one off shows are brilliant. Loved the Vietnam one, and I am sure the boxing day special this year will be just as good.

what is tired about it...some of the stuff they come up with to do is pretty good IMO

TDD - I find that they seem to be running low on things to do, you can tell this by the far longer chats they have in the studio about things. Many of which are funny, but a lot are just the same jokes about James being gay, Richards height or teeth and Jeremy wanting to be ruler of the world. Lots of the humour has gone from being subtle jokes to being slapstick - drop a piano on a morris, destroy a caravan, set things on fire - which i personally see as them having run out of new interesting things to do. Don't get me wrong I do still watch most episodes, but I still feel it is going down hill.

 

I will be in front of the tv watching the middle east special on boxing day though, hoping for another brilliant special. In fact I wouldn't mind if they did away with the series all together and did 4-5 epic specials a year. They are always very entertaining.

Really like top gear but the way they act everything is starting to grate on me. May and Clarkson manage to pull it off but Hammond has to make things very obviously fake.

Enjoyable, but seems a bit contrived recently. Will be interesting to see if they follow up on the birth of 'baby Stig' ,though

I thought the two Christmas episodes were pretty good overall. A bit of the stupid 'fake accidents' stuff and some bad acting from Hammond, but overall pretty entertaining. Have to say I saw the Stig/Jesus thing coming on the second episode. Will be interesting to see how that develops.
