Walsall Weather Watch / Build-up Thread - Game called off!

Surely a frozen pitch it not a good excuse when everyone knew it would be cold this week, Walsall could have covered the pitch and used heaters. Very frustrated at the number of Saturday games being moved to midweek because of postponements.

True, but it's not just the pitch that has to be 'playable' - its the whole stadium and surrounding areas that have to be safe for fans as well.

I know we'll get to play these games later but sliding right down the table isn't going do anything for players confidence....

Brenford, Leyton Orient, Hartlepool, Rochdale and Yeovil have also been called off today so I don't think we will be sliding down that much.

****ing hell. ****ing weather, why cant it just **** off. **** sake. **** my life. Now im just going home too see the parents / friends, and not the mighty saints. Who gives a **** about parents / friends? How ****ing boring. **** **** **** **** ****.

Very well put Jonny, many may have thought the same but only you could find the words!

Out here we're automatically stuffed if it snows, the council don't even bother to clear our local minor roads so we'll all be house-bound again 'til it thaws. What's worse is we don't have Sky so no footie anywhere

Looking at the weather I would be very suprised if any games are on in our league tomorrow!

just 3 or 4 for the moment, I noticed that most games are still on the in Championship though, clubs obviously have the wherewithal to face up to the situation in that League.God I hate being in the 3rd division, it really is purgatory.

I quite like being in League 1 cheap tickets no large crowds and I can see clubs when I want which I only dreamed about like MK Dons Dagenham and Redbridge and Hartlepool

Doubt whether I will go if we ever return to the PL

Doubt I w

A quick butchers at the top of the Championship makes for encouraging reading.

QPR - 41

Leeds - 38

----------------------------

Cardiff - 37

Swansea -37

Norwich -36

Coventry -34

----------------------------

Just goes to show, not only is this League sh*t, so is 3/4 of the Championship. If we could only get our act together, we could be right up there and looking at promotion to the Premier League in 18 months. A big IF, but doable given patience.

Bet Sheff Wed wished they had been snowed off. They have been the only top side to play in the 2 weeks every other game has been called off due to the weather and they have lost both to Swindon and Exeter.

This is excellent news for us as they have money to spend in Jan and will definately be a major challenger for those top 2 automatics at the end of the season.

We just need to get our act in order now!!!
