Turkish Posted 12 December, 2010 Share Posted 12 December, 2010 thinking about next year and narrowed it down to 4. Aluferia, Portugal, Agios Nickolas Crete, Almeria, Spain or Sorrento Italy. Been to Sorrento, anyone been to the other three?
CB Saint Posted 12 December, 2010 Share Posted 12 December, 2010 Stayed up the road from Agios Nicholos at Elounda. Went to ag nic for a day - does get busy with the cruise ships coming in but nice enough. Personally i was glad to go back to elounda - lovely little fishing town lots of great restaurants, although can be a little pricey. The russians have been driving up the prices. I does take a along time to get anywhere from that end of the island as well. Knossos is probably as far as you will want to go unless you are up for spending many hours in a car
scotty Posted 12 December, 2010 Share Posted 12 December, 2010 Almeria's pleasant enough, we had a few days there. Its in striking distance of Nerja, which is well worth a visit. I wouldnt have called Almeria a holiday resort as such unless we missed something? and we stayed just down the road from Albufeira 2 years ago, thats a really nice spot. Recommended. But if you do go ffs dont try to speak any spanish to the portuguese, they absolutely hate their guts.

Dog Posted 13 December, 2010 Share Posted 13 December, 2010 If you are looking for a good decent holiday, try going to Novorossiysk, it's in the Black Sea region. Beach is a bit rocky but overall a fantastic resort.

I'll be sticking with Sardinia, although not this year
dune Posted 13 December, 2010 Share Posted 13 December, 2010 I fancy going back to Tenerife. Either Los Gigantes or Puerto De La Cruz. Proably the latter as i'd like to explore the North of the Island a bit more.
