Holiday destinations

thinking about next year and narrowed it down to 4. Aluferia, Portugal, Agios Nickolas Crete, Almeria, Spain or Sorrento Italy. Been to Sorrento, anyone been to the other three?

Stayed up the road from Agios Nicholos at Elounda. Went to ag nic for a day - does get busy with the cruise ships coming in but nice enough. Personally i was glad to go back to elounda - lovely little fishing town lots of great restaurants, although can be a little pricey. The russians have been driving up the prices.

 

I does take a along time to get anywhere from that end of the island as well. Knossos is probably as far as you will want to go unless you are up for spending many hours in a car

Almeria's pleasant enough, we had a few days there. Its in striking distance of Nerja, which is well worth a visit. I wouldnt have called Almeria a holiday resort as such unless we missed something?

 

and we stayed just down the road from Albufeira 2 years ago, thats a really nice spot. Recommended. But if you do go ffs dont try to speak any spanish to the portuguese, they absolutely hate their guts.

No. Minorca and Sardinia are good though if you are looking for great beaches and a bit of space. Not lively if thats what you're after.

Hard pressed to beat Sardinia as a holiday destination. My wife, kids and I love it.

You ever been to Corsica VFT? Im thinking of giving it a try on the assumption its like a French Sardinia (not sure if thats good or not).

If you are looking for a good decent holiday, try going to Novorossiysk, it's in the Black Sea region. Beach is a bit rocky but overall a fantastic resort.

No, I haven't I'm afraid.

 

My sister goes with her brood to Corsica and loves it.

 

I'll be sticking with Sardinia, although not this year

I fancy going back to Tenerife. Either Los Gigantes or Puerto De La Cruz. Proably the latter as i'd like to explore the North of the Island a bit more.
