punch out and pugh in...???

why not..?

or dale jennings...sounded very good on the radio

Pugh would be a great shout, i can't imagine Bournemouth would be able to ''price us out'' of getting him. (no disrespect to them..)

Dale jennings has apparently joined sunderland for 500k (will join in the summer)

Bit of a wild suggestion....based wholly on me just starting a new game of CM as Saints boss for this season.

Robbie Fowler, aged 36, is available for a song from Perth Glory. He and Lambert are pretty good together up front - although not exactly pacey.

I saw Pugh when he was at Shrewsbury a few times & he was pretty poor! Cant remember him standing out at St Mary's either. Has he not had about 5 clubs as well??

This is dated 1st Dec....he is back at Saints.

Mystifying thing with him was when we signed him it said 2 year contract with option of a third.

He stayed two years and now is in the third...but surely we didn't extend it.....so makes you wonder if we were lied to when he signed?

Now who on earth would have lied to us ??????????

Fed up with transfer talk, nothing's happening and I wouldn't doubt that nothing will happen.

We probably have targets but they're out of our price range.

If you're fed up with transfer talk than coming onto this thread probably won't help.

Not directly Saints related but seems BWP is now at Charlton. Sorry if posted elsewhere

He'll score against us then, all our ex-strikers and midfielders do, no matter how rubbish they were. Even Paul Moody scored against us for Oxford in the League Cup mid-90s didn't he?

yep. I was there, last minute equaliser after Richard Dryden had scored a screamer for us....

Not entirely fussed. I still think we're a winger light (unless Puncheon gets his act together), and perhaps a goal scoring striker short, but the team we have should be strong enough to go up. Then there's the loan window, which may be a better route to go down - getting someone class in without the hassle of a fee, and it they shine, sign them up in the summer.

Either way, there's still a week to go yet, and that's when things usually hot up.

I really do think we're a striker short, about the rest I'm none too fussed but I've seen so many chances wasted by our front men because their technique just isn't good enough that's it's quite disturbing.Looked in on Chelsea -Bolton a bit yesterday, the Malouda goal came from exactly the same sort of situation as the one Rickie missed early on last week, same angle, same keeper position

everything, but Malouda knew that dinking it with his left foot was the way to go, Rickie just blasted it with his right. Not saying we should sign Malouda but sometimes our front 2 are so 50's it's unbelievable.

What a boring transfer window. With 1 point from the last 2 games, and no goals scored against very ordinary opposition, I am now of the mind that our squad isn't strong enough at present to go up top 2.

Sign a couple more decent players please, and if AOC wants to go, set up an auction. F*ck what him and his old man want, the old man showed us a complete lack of respect with his Sky interview.

Interesting that Posh have come out and denied that CMS is coming to Saints and that we have not made a bid. Cant help thinking that this must be a smokescreen on Saints behalf in order to push on other targets.

Its clear Burnley are bidding for Austin, lets hope we are the other as im not convinced Blackpool would risk that much money on a player who may not be up to the step up of prem football. Otherwise it is eerily quiet, lets hope a strom is brewing behind the scenes. I think a mobile striker and minimum 2 wide players must be on the cards, i watch this space....

They didn't deny it, Barry Fry confirmed that there had been a number of discussions, but no bids (as of yet).

Well if we are not even in discussion mode now with only 4 business trading days left, i can't imagine he is a target. That would be leaving it too late.

I remember Adkins saying we had tabled some major bids, all must of been turned down as this was a month ago but surely we are still having discussions about players now

Irrelevant, considering transfers can be completed any day of the week.
