Adkins is heading for the sack at the end of the season. He has only achieved a win ratio of 50% (League) and a PPG of 1.71. To get automatic promotion, his PPG for the rest of the season it usually needs to be for the remaining games in the range of 2.2.

FYI Pardew's PPG for all games (League and cup) was 1.86. But we/Adkins may get lucky and if L2 has a freak season like 2005/6, then the PPG was as low as 1.72 for 2nd place.

2nd place is currently running at 1.65 per game.

Adkins rate improves slightly to 1.85 if you allow him the benefit of the doubt of only just walking in for MK game not even in for week.

He is doing just about enough for automatic

ADKINS OUT, he should never have been appointed in the first place. A totally uninspiring choice of manager a nobody to be fair, I would not watch this overpaid overhyped group of players who as I see it all think that they are good enough to play for Real Madrid if they were playing in my back garden. We need a manager dare I say it like Roy Keane (although not having the best of times at the mo) as he would get the players playing for the shirt and he has also been there seen it and done it as a player and he done really well with Sunderland. Failing that get Strachan back. Anybody really who would get bums on seats and make us feel proud of our once great club!

I'm highly p issed about yesterday, not so much losing but the manner in which we lost no hard work or balls from the players and very little attempt by the manager to sort it out and half time (when everyone could see things had gone tits up). Having said that ADKINS OUT do behave. He's got until the end of the season at least, if he fails to get us promoted then I'm sure NC will act accordingly.

did nothing for sunderland hence the reason he was sacked

Certainly not advocating we sack Adkins or indeed that we hire Keane, but as per usual your posts are totally inaccurate.

not as guilty, but he certainly didn't help to change things for the better today.

tbh I couldn't see what he could do when 0-2 down and we needed goals?

Connolly was the only striker on the bench and against the Bees hard back line, could hardly have made more impression that either of the big men. A tough call but once again we had no options, partly due to the lack of foresight in not getting another striker on the books in the summer after we'd lost Papa Waigo ( why oh why ?) and Antonio went back to Reading.

Pity about the result, but without Barnard there was no other option.

Doble is a striker,or supposed to be anyway. I just cannot fathom all this development and talent pathway stuff. If the lads aren't considered good enough to merit a 15 minute cameo when we've nothing left to lose what is the point of their being here.

I think it unlikely Lallana will go in January.

First there has not been a sniff of any real transfer activity only paper guessing. Secondly Lallana is desparate to play every week. He could do that for a Championship club but not many will be able to beat what Saints will be able to afford in wages. Thirdly because he knows that his development is not complete and he will not want to be a bench warmer in the Premier.

Chamberlain will not go. Again he knows he is only at the begining of his development and games in Div 1 is better that in a Premier youth/development set up. He has a good set of advisors who know he is better here for the present.

Schneiderlin - no loss in my opinion. He is part of the problem, not the solution.

arrrrhhhhhh.........sense........it does exist!!
