georgeweahscousin Posted 9 December, 2010 Posted 9 December, 2010 .......any chance he will be off to the North East?
Colinjb Posted 9 December, 2010 Posted 9 December, 2010 Good question..... I doubt it though. Pardew really needs a strong assistant manager if he is to have any chance, would the players repect Wilkins?
itchen_dan Posted 9 December, 2010 Posted 9 December, 2010 Apparently that Chris Hughton is supposed to be a decent assistant
Dazza82 Posted 9 December, 2010 Posted 9 December, 2010 Wally downes is at West ham now so he wont Stuart Murdoch could well be on his way there Dean Wilkins is a no, maybe Ray though
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 9 December, 2010 Posted 9 December, 2010 Pardew needs to get himself a Geordie legend to get the fans onside. I'd promote Beardsley to assistant although no idea if he'd be any good at the job!
EBS1980 Posted 9 December, 2010 Posted 9 December, 2010 Stuart Murdoch is GK coach at Gillingham now.
ART Posted 9 December, 2010 Posted 9 December, 2010 Getting a Geordie legend would only end up with Pardew being constantly underminded and his job at risk. Beardsley doesn't seem that type but a good clear out is the one guarantee he'd had a good chance at succeeding. It's always possible to unite the fan base that Hughton could be rehired in an alternative role.
richardc Posted 9 December, 2010 Posted 9 December, 2010 I doubt it - he never really got on with Pardew - Pardew never let him get on with anything in training always watching over he shoulder and interferring - he much prefers it with Adkins as he just lets him get on with things and doesnt interfere - plus his family settled in Hove
ottery st mary Posted 9 December, 2010 Posted 9 December, 2010 I would have thought that Tony Adams was a safer bet to really cheer up the Toon Army..
70's Mike Posted 9 December, 2010 Posted 9 December, 2010 expect a bid for Lallana in the transfer window
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 9 December, 2010 Posted 9 December, 2010 expect a bid for Lallana in the transfer window And expect it to be turned down.
Fowllyd Posted 9 December, 2010 Posted 9 December, 2010 I would have thought that Tony Adams was a safer bet to really cheer up the Toon Army.. By crackey, Otters, you're on to something there. Just look at it - Tony Adams and Toon Army are practically anagrams. Clearly, this is meant to be. They'll be scrannin' doon on their grilled whippets with hearts full of joy in Byker the neet, make no mistake. And it's only a matter time before the roars for 'wor Toony' ring out loud all round St James' Park.
saintedwill Posted 10 December, 2010 Posted 10 December, 2010 Pardew needs to get himself a Geordie legend to get the fans onside. I'd promote Beardsley to assistant although no idea if he'd be any good at the job! Gazza's looking for a job - as long as he can get there by bus
Wildgoose Posted 10 December, 2010 Posted 10 December, 2010 And expect it to be turned down. Haha! Lol ;-) Too right!
Mowgli Posted 10 December, 2010 Posted 10 December, 2010 Doubt it. If there was any loyalty there would not Wilkins have stepped down at the same time as Pardew?
jam Posted 10 December, 2010 Posted 10 December, 2010 I would have thought that Tony Adams was a safer bet to really cheer up the Toon Army.. It's cruel but I'd love it if they did that
