Rut Posted 7 December, 2010 Share Posted 7 December, 2010 Shame. I really liked him at the start. Didn't mind going away from the norm and showed a lot of passion. Sadly this season didn't go as well as it could have... Eric Studesville comes in for the final 4 games with nothing at stake apart putting in a claim for next season. Broncos to beat Cardinals on Sunday could be worth a bet.
Born In The 80s Posted 7 December, 2010 Share Posted 7 December, 2010 Rut, What do you think of Kyle Orton? Must say, i have been really impressed with him this year. I understand he's a free agent after the year? Think the Broncs will keep him on, or turn to Tebow? My team Minnesota have got a problem at QB after this season and i'd take Orton in a heart beat if he was available...

NFL QB's are hard to find though and although Orton ain't a world-beater he is a good, steady NFL QB. Tebow is the unknown quantity. Will he play much over the next 4 games? Will he be good enough next season? I just watched an interview with Studesville. He definitely has a bit of a presence about him. Wonder if he is in with a proper shout of the job full time? As for the Vikings. You don't need a new QB - all you need is a wheelchair that works well on a muddy pitch as I'm sure Favre would give it a go. It's gunna be a similar experiment over the next 4 games from the Broncos and Studesville and it has/will be for Leslie Frazier and the Vikes. Funnily enough, i was watching NFL Network and they seem to think Frazier is top of the Broncos wanted list for HC. We'll see about that i guess. Perhaps we may even have a look at McDaniels for offensive co-ordinator, as our one (Bevell) sucks so bad and (i hope) is going to get fired. With regards to your QB situation, is Brady Quinn still around? I always found that weird that McDaniels when for Quinn, Tebow and Orton. I guess it really is anyone's guess who you have under centre next year. Favre can get lost now. I'm grateful for what he did for the Vike last year and what he's done for the NFL in the past 2 decades, but now he has to retire before he completely tarnishes his career. We need to draft a QB high next year and develop him. I'd take Andrew Luck or Jack Locker depending on how we do over the next few games. Plus please god, not another year of Favre, and PLEASE not anymore of Jackson!
Rut Posted 9 December, 2010 Author Share Posted 9 December, 2010 i was watching NFL Network With regards to your QB situation, is Brady Quinn still around? 'Born' - are you in the USA? Or can you watch the NFL Network online over in the UK? Big game tonight on there - Colts have to win. In fact realistically Colts have to win their last 4 games. Not out of the question though. Yeah Quinn is the Bronco's 3rd QB. He's had a few plays but hasn't looked that good. It's a bit hard to when you know you ain't the starter though. When he came from the Browns I'm pretty sure Peyton Hillis was part of the deal going the other way. He's been racking up the yards as the Brown's running back this season. Hindsight is a wonderful thing! With 4 games to go there is a lot to play for out there. I can see the Colts, Saints & Packers coming from a game behind to win their divisions. The Saints @ Atlanta game is huge. The winner of that could well end up as the No. 1 Seed in the NFC. I can see Saints winning that and going on to win the NFC again. Now there's a prediction... Nah, i'm in Southampton but i watch online. We also get a few "NFL total access" shows a week on sky sports off here, so that's always good to see what the 'experts' think. Quinn for Peyton Hillis? Man that's got to hurt as a Broncos fan! Predictions? AFC 1) Pats 2) Steelers 3) Colts (I reckon they win 4 straight from here) 4)Chiefs (I think they just edge out the Chargers) 5) Jets 6) Ravens Looks like 2 strong wildcards there and i think they can both go deel into the play offs. If i'm calling this now though, i just can't look past Brady the way he's playing right now. He was frightening on Monday night and i've got to go with them for the AFC Championship. It's also worth noting that they have an embarrassing amount of draft picks next year. I really sobering thought for any teams in the AFC trying to keep up with Brady's 'inexperienced kids'. NFC 1) Falcons 2) Eagles 3) Packers 4) Rams (but really who cares) 5) Saints 6) Bears The NFC is tough to call but i reckon the Falcons just edge out the Saints and the Packers get past the Bears. But really, it's anyones once we get to post season. From a totally biased point of view i pray it's not the Packers or Saints, but only time will tell i guess. If i were to pick one, i'd go for the Packers (depressingly). But either way, it should be a really interesting post season.

Colts did the biz last night. If Titans had gone for that 4th & 1 then who knows - thought it was an awful call at the time and hindsight (for once) proved it so. I hope the NFC west winner is 7-9 and loses to the Saints in the final. F#ck the NFC east and it's constant coverage. Hey - I see Sky are showing the Redzone for the early game for the last 3 weeks. Do you know if this is commercial free (as the Redzone is in the USA?). If so - then it is worth a watch. I usually watch it before/after the Broncos game instead of choosing a full game to watch. Rut Posted 12 December, 2010 Author Share Posted 12 December, 2010 Sorry Born but gotta laugh. Just who the hell designed the Minnesota Metrodome? Hadn't they heard of snow before? Pretty lucky there wasn't a game on when the roof collapsed...
Born In The 80s Posted 12 December, 2010 Share Posted 12 December, 2010 Ha! Tell me about it Rut. Looks like that was one hell of a snowstorm they had there though. http://www.myfoxtwincities.com/dpp/news ... ec-12-2010 That's a video of the roof actually collapsing. Scary stuff! I wouldn't be surprised if our owner Zygi Wilf tampered with the roof himself in another attempt to secure us a new stadium. The timing really couldn't be better! Other than that though, i'm gutted it's not on today. Sky sports were showing the game and now i definately won't get to see it. Be interesting to see how many fans are there tomorrow night in Detroit. Apparently it's free but with the weather how it is i can't imagine any fans being able to attend if they are outside Detroit. Must confess i hadn't heard of NFL Redzone until recently but it looks like a great idea.
