We must be very stubborn over ticket prices because we had the same issue with Shrewsbury.

Overall good prices and the seats are booked!

Blackpool sell their EPL home games in blocks of 3, Chelsea/Newcastle/Stoke will set you back 102£ at full price as will Arsenal/Crap/Crap,I think they're just sucking up to their fans trying to make themselves out as the good guys.I mean £34 to watch Blackpool/Stoke has got to be a rip off in anyone's estimation.

but so is £27 to watch southampton v Dagenham and Redbridge?

of course it is, any league 1 football above £20 full price is a rip off.But at least we have the possibility of choosing an attractive match and not a crap one, Blackpool's fans don't as a rule.

Well I'm a season ticket holder, so hopefully it is "my place" to criticise. If you want a decent seat, then buy one now. There are plenty available. How can 20k other Saints fans manage to enjoy watching Saints without having "the best view in the ground". There are no bad views at St Marys. Is it any coincidence that there moaners come from what is probably the least atmospheric, least "supporting" part of the ground? I bet if you go to the Blackpool game you'll spend the whole of the match grumbling about not having your usual seat in the Kingsland like a load of old codgers did behind me in the Itchen for the Cheltenham game!

You completely miss the point and make yourself look a bit of a berk by assuming things about people who sit in specific areas of the ground.

The idea of what is and isn't a good view is subjective. Many ST holders obviously feel one view is better than another, hence why they choose to sit in a specific part of the ground. To dismiss their opinion on what is or isn't a good view is ignorant.

As I said before, I've clearly showed that there are benefits for ST holders in being able to secure their own seat and I'm still waiting to hear how other people are disadvantaged by said facility. I can't see any reason why the club no longer do it.

However, neither are really reason enough to have any sort of moan and certainly not a reason no to attend the game as many have claimed recently.

You still miss the point!

1) I have no idea whether your allegations are correct because I can't be arsed to go back and look at them. Whether I'm old, young, fat, thin, drink tea or eat tofu doesn't bear any relevance to the discussion.

2) This too has bearing on the discussion. As it happens I have snapped up my own seats, but this is down to luck that they just so happened to be available, not because the club were helpful enough to hold them for 24hours for me.

3) So you agree with me anyway... I have no idea what you've been rambling on about then.

Why shouldn't the club give ST holders 24 hours to claim their usual seats before all tickets go on sale? What possible disadvantages are to this happening?

The point being it isn't worth crying about. It's obviously hassle for the club, otherwise I guess they would do it. And you were able to get your own seat anyway ffs, so what have you been rambling on about

Are all the stands open this time?

Nothing about ST-holders claiming own seats?

I've bought my normal ST seat in the Itchen Centre, but only because I was in early enough to ask for it. £18 for a Senior, (£15, plus the admin' fee added on).

Same as Eastcowzer. Luckily we've managed to get our usual seats too, by chance more than anything.

According to the ticket office, season ticket holder's seats are not being reserved for them as they do not expect the match to sell out. If it was a bigger team/or they expected a sell out, then they would reserve season ticket holder's seats for a period of time. Hope this info is useful.

Another piece of info that I haven't seen anywhere else (apologies if it is), is that David Luker no longer works at the club. Very sad as he was always extremely helpful whenever I contacted him with any queries. All the best David.

bad news about Dave Luker, always found him really helpful and prepared to go the extra mile to solve problems for you

For the Cheltenham game I phoned on the first morning and took the £3 hit to make sure I got my seat. Got to the stadium on the day and there was nobody in any of the seats around us so we ended up moving over into block 42 where the crowd was anyway.

Hopefully will be busier for Blackpool though.

didn't we have the biggest crowd of the last round when we over priced our tickets?

I don't think there was too much competition really, of the clubs playing in that round only Sheffield Wednesday have the same sort of core support and they got just a couple of hundred less than us I think.Northampton probably took less there than Cheltenham did as well .We must be a small clubs dream tie in the first 2 rounds.

I dont mind not having my seat for my ST we normally sit in the family centre and this gives us the opportunity to try out other areas of the ground, as kids will soon be too old for Family Centre - we are trying Itchen North this time, having done northam, chapel, kingsland north - different experiences - different people - isnt that what its all about!

Although there are no 'bad views', I found that moving to a drastically different paet of the ground as I have had to do for the cup games this season frustrating in terms of the view. It can be disorientating, and takes a while to kind of sus out the perpective, distance & angles etc, when you're watching the match, I know it sounds wierd but when you watch all the matches from one seat or from one block and then move to a completely different part of the ground it is annoying, I've sat in every stand and have settled in my prefered one because I prefer it.

Wish I could feel up for this game after Saturday. Blackpool could see the cup as a real spinner based on their league form. On ours, surely it's just a distraction we don't need?

Please convince me otherwise!

Well having skipped the first 2 cup games partly out of apathy and partly because of not wanting to sit in the itchen when I'm a ST-holder in the kingsland, I went to saturday's game early to buy blackpool tickets (and some extras for the christmas league games)

We were told by stewards that window 2 was saturday's game only ..fair enough .. we queued for about 10 minutes at window 1 and then a tannoy announcement said that now all windows were selling saturday's tickets only. Big moan from queue and about half left, ****ed off. This was before 2.30 and the queues were not yet that big. Surely they could have kept a couple of queues for advance sales? Or at least given better information. There was no info on the scrolling display btw.

Really poor customer service, and a lot of upset fans ..again!
