Media Centre thingee

I'm after something like this which you can put a hard drive in and play your films etc on your TV by plugging it into HDMI and also the ability to watch films stored on other computers across my network.

 

Has anyone got any experience of these things?

I have the first version without ethernet and its a fantastic little box. The Live(networked) version is supposed to be excellent. There is also a large community who release custom firmware for adding extra functionality.

I'd like one of them but one that you can put the HDD inside rather than having external hard drives. Shall I just bite the bullet and buy the WD in my original post? Only reason I don't want it is because I've already got 1TB HDD's!

Here is what I have, bought for 110 last year with built in hard drive and 50 high def films. Quality (avatar is 16GB and looks amazing.)

Just buy enclosures for your hard drives and use them USB style
