thesaint sfc Posted 3 December, 2010 Share Posted 3 December, 2010 http://www.scan.co.uk/products/sumvision-cyclone-live-v2-h264-mkv-divx-mpeg-iso-dts-downmix-network-media-player I'm after something like this which you can put a hard drive in and play your films etc on your TV by plugging it into HDMI and also the ability to watch films stored on other computers across my network. Has anyone got any experience of these things? http://www.ebuyer.com/product/244502# This is another option - but I've already got a load of TB hard drives so I don't really want to buy one with a hard drive already in there! mdearlove Posted 3 December, 2010 Share Posted 3 December, 2010 get one of these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Western-Digital-Live-Media-Player/dp/B002LZUHMI/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1291384589&sr=8-2 I have the first version without ethernet and its a fantastic little box. The Live(networked) version is supposed to be excellent. There is also a large community who release custom firmware for adding extra functionality. thesaint sfc Posted 3 December, 2010 Author Share Posted 3 December, 2010 I'd like one of them but one that you can put the HDD inside rather than having external hard drives. Shall I just bite the bullet and buy the WD in my original post? Only reason I don't want it is because I've already got 1TB HDD's!
