Colinjb Posted 28 November, 2010 Posted 28 November, 2010 ...What happens to our tickets? I take it they would be valid for any rearranged game but are we ok to get a refund? Hope it's not called off mind, have been looking forward to this one.
marc_saint Posted 29 November, 2010 Posted 29 November, 2010 You would be able to get a refund if you cannot make the rearranged date.
richie Posted 29 November, 2010 Posted 29 November, 2010 why do we alsways have this question when its the same answer since the dawn of time
Jack Posted 29 November, 2010 Posted 29 November, 2010 My guess is it'll be off. We're working in Hull at the moment and it's bad here with more snow on the way, and it's worse further up the coast. With a little ground like that it'll be hard to get the pitch playable, even if they get the roads sorted, which they still haven't.
Saint_Jonny Posted 29 November, 2010 Posted 29 November, 2010 Pretty much no chance of the game being on isnt there. I really dislike games being called off! We'll end up well behind in the table AND i'll have a boring saturday.
Turkish Posted 29 November, 2010 Posted 29 November, 2010 Not looking likely FFS. Was looking forward to this one as well.
JRM Posted 29 November, 2010 Posted 29 November, 2010 Not looking likely FFS. Was looking forward to this one as well. why is it not looking likely? the 5 day forecast looks good http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast/2369?&search=hartlepool&itemsPerPage=10®ion=uk unless you know something different
trousers Posted 29 November, 2010 Posted 29 November, 2010 Some clever sod predicted the game would be snowed off a week ago.... http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?26363-Hartlepool-4th-December&p=899001#post899001

chocco boxo Posted 29 November, 2010 Posted 29 November, 2010 Forecast is ****! But hey he is on a 5 year deal!
oldsarum Posted 29 November, 2010 Posted 29 November, 2010 Forecast i saw earlier today said snow and freezing weather would continue all week. BBC forecast for Friday not so good temperature not to get above -1 but no snow http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast/2369?&search=hartlepool&itemsPerPage=10®ion=world http://www.weatheronline.co.uk/UK/Hartlepool/Day5to8.htm Unfortunately forecasts cannot be relied on, and constantly change, so I'll just keep looking daily. I just hope if game is called off they do it early, as getting up at 5am to get train up Saturday
Appy Posted 29 November, 2010 Posted 29 November, 2010 You'd like to think with some common sense if they were to call it off it would be on Friday.
Chez Posted 29 November, 2010 Posted 29 November, 2010 You'd like to think with some common sense if they were to call it off it would be on Friday. I'm hoping Thursday as I plan to drive up on Friday. No chance of that I suppose?
eelpie Posted 29 November, 2010 Posted 29 November, 2010 You would be able to get a refund if you cannot make the rearranged date. But if we are STH holders and a match is re-arranged to a date we can't make we don't get a refund
Neil Posted 30 November, 2010 Posted 30 November, 2010 If it's true that the 1st XI are not flying to any away games now, presumably a go/no-go decision will be made on the Friday morning before they are due to set off from Southampton? Which won't help the fans who have gone up there, but may save a few wasted journeys.

No. No reason why a decision will be made before the team set-off, look at Hartlepool's home game Saturday just gone against Yeovil, was called off at 1.15pm. Think they tend to wait as long as possible to ensure that if there is any chance the game can be played it is, only tend to call it off when they're 100% certain its unplayable. I'd be surprised if its called off Friday, but we'll see.
Window Cleaner Posted 30 November, 2010 Posted 30 November, 2010 If it's true that the 1st XI are not flying to any away games now, Are we skint again then?

They flew to Carlisle I think (or at least they flew to some airport nearer to Carlisle than Southampton then got a coach the rest of the way).
iansouthstander Posted 30 November, 2010 Posted 30 November, 2010 They flew to Carlisle I think (or at least they flew to some airport nearer to Carlisle than Southampton then got a coach the rest of the way). They definately got the coach home from Carlisle , cus I bumped into them in a motorway service station on the m6 toll road.
petts Posted 30 November, 2010 Posted 30 November, 2010 I'm up in South Tyneside and we have had a bit more snow last couple of days, but not much really...though it is ******* cold. We were forecasted a bucketload yesterday but it didn't arrive. Hopefully it stays the same till Saturday, really looking forward to this one.
RedWillie Posted 30 November, 2010 Posted 30 November, 2010 Are we skint again then? No, just ask about the wheel incident....i blame that for why we lost
Window Cleaner Posted 30 November, 2010 Posted 30 November, 2010 No, just ask about the wheel incident....i blame that for why we lost Well I'd ask leftback but as he's been banned................................... So are you going to enlighten us then or not...go on you know you want to. Same airline that flew Buddy Holly and Jim Reeves was it?
saint_mears Posted 30 November, 2010 Posted 30 November, 2010 Saints got to carlisle via newcastle airport and drove back. I would expect the same for hartlepool unless flights mean they can fly back.
RedWillie Posted 30 November, 2010 Posted 30 November, 2010 I am told that allegedly the plane had an emergency landing with one wheel not operating....but a few players were mightily spooked by it.....
Chez Posted 30 November, 2010 Posted 30 November, 2010 I am told that allegedly the plane had an emergency landing with one wheel not operating....but a few players were mightily spooked by it..... Do they use Flybe?
