Asaint4ever Posted 27 November, 2010 Posted 27 November, 2010 Leeds, Coventry , skates! One of them would be my choice !
Turkish Posted 27 November, 2010 Posted 27 November, 2010 (edited) You really should get out more ... it's a lovely non-lge ground (it's already league-rated if they ever get that far)- a much better pitch than plenty of those in our league - Dover v Saints would be a great third round tie (or we could all go to Chelsea/L'pool/Man U 'again', yawn). I am sure the media will be all over it. You've got it right though, when people ask me where in the world would i most like to see Saints play, i dont say the San Siro, the Bernabeau or the Nou Camp, i say Dover. MarkSFC Posted 27 November, 2010 Posted 27 November, 2010 There are some seriously clueless people on here!!! Anyway, Arsenal at The Emirates would be ideal as others have mentioned. Or anyone we can lose to and make money from!!!
altoniansaints Posted 27 November, 2010 Posted 27 November, 2010 Home draw to one of the top 5 prem teams would be good Whens the draw by the way?
rocknrollman no2 Posted 27 November, 2010 Posted 27 November, 2010 Home draw to one of the top 5 prem teams would be good Whens the draw by the way? 6 oclock tomorrow
Seaside Saint 2 Posted 27 November, 2010 Posted 27 November, 2010 Palace away, time to have our revenge on Burley.
saint_jas Posted 27 November, 2010 Posted 27 November, 2010 Bet it's a league 1 team. Notts County away would be nice. Another short fall out of flat into ground!!!
Lighthouse Posted 27 November, 2010 Posted 27 November, 2010 I'm likely to be on holiday for that game, so I'm hoping for a nice easy home tie. THEN we can go to the Emirates when I get back .
Colinjb Posted 27 November, 2010 Posted 27 November, 2010 (edited) Coventry......away. Or Dover Athletic, it's time for some personal payback! Edited 27 November, 2010 by Colinjb
Deppo Posted 27 November, 2010 Posted 27 November, 2010 Cheltenham would be good. We rolled them over last time we played them.
CLOTH EARS Posted 27 November, 2010 Posted 27 November, 2010 The chances of getting a glamour tie is slimish, the chances of an easier tie at home will be slimish so i reckon we will get a mediocre tie away, so Barnsley v Saints it is then.
dune Posted 27 November, 2010 Posted 27 November, 2010 Bournemouth at St Marys would be like a cup final.
RonManager Posted 27 November, 2010 Posted 27 November, 2010 Cheltenham would be good. We rolled them over last time we played them. Never go back. It's never as good the second time round.
JRM Posted 28 November, 2010 Posted 28 November, 2010 There really are some pathetic comments on this thread, yeah let's hope we get knocked out that's the spirit. I'd rather have a bit of hope and do a wycombe or chesterfield who have both got to the semi finals from our division in recent times. Dover away is my choice.
saint_bert Posted 28 November, 2010 Posted 28 November, 2010 So this season are they breaking with 100+ years of tradition and changing the round Premier and Championship sides come into the competition? this made me laugh.
Colbury Posted 28 November, 2010 Posted 28 November, 2010 No, the 3rd round. You don't think he was joking then, no?
CB Fry Posted 28 November, 2010 Posted 28 November, 2010 Blackpool away Would be nice to experience the glamour of a premier league team at a premier league ground with premier league players we can only dream of playing for us.
saintscottofthenortham Posted 28 November, 2010 Posted 28 November, 2010 Dover away for me aswell. If it's gonna be a home tie, pip us against a decent championship side to let us test ourselves against.
Chin Strain Posted 28 November, 2010 Posted 28 November, 2010 Dover away would be nice - I went today and Dover were well worth their win; in fact they have been good value for both their victories over league oppo. Over 4000 at Crabble today and a cracking atmosphere, would love to see Saints play there. My home town so would love a trip to The Crabble

Fail to see why you call it pathetic that some of us want to get knocked out. Personally I don't care much for the FA Cup right now, we're not going to win it and I'd much rather we focused all our efforts on getting out this ****ty league. The Cheltenham game already cost us injuries to Lambert, Richardson and Holmes, as well as seeing Fonte banned for the next game. I'd rather not take any chances that could jeopardise a promotion push.
rallyboy Posted 28 November, 2010 Posted 28 November, 2010 West Ham at home I would like to see a prossie-bothering grave digger have the smug smile wiped off his pervy face. Walking on our pitch doing feeble celebrations with his illegal team.....I want him back here for vengeance. Or Arsenal away.

Morgan sat out his suspension yesterday (if that's a bonus).
Griffo Posted 28 November, 2010 Posted 28 November, 2010 Pompey home or away. Arsenal, Utd, Liverpool, Spurs, Fulham, West Ham or Palace away.
dune Posted 28 November, 2010 Posted 28 November, 2010 What's so attractive about a Premier League club? Unless you're very young playing one is hardly a novelty.
dellboypete Posted 28 November, 2010 Posted 28 November, 2010 FA Cup third round draw numbers: 1 Arsenal 2 Aston Villa 3 Barnsley 4 Birmingham City 5 Blackburn Rovers 6 Blackpool 7 Bolton Wanderers 8 Bristol City 9 Burnley 10 Cardiff City 11 Chelsea 12 Coventry City 13 Crystal Palace 14 Derby County 15 Doncaster Rovers 16 Everton 17 Fulham 18 Hull City 19 Ipswich Town 20 Leeds United 21 Leicester City 22 Liverpool 23 Manchester City 24 Manchester United 25 Middlesbrough 26 Millwall 27 Newcastle United 28 Norwich City 29 Nottingham Forest 30 Portsmouth 31 Preston North End 32 QPR 33 Reading 34 S****horpe United 35 Sheffield United 36 Stoke City 37 Sunderland 38 Swansea City 39 Tottenham Hotspur 40 Watford 41 West Bromwich Albion 42 West Ham United 43 Wigan Athletic 44 Wolverhampton Wanderers 45 Sheffield Wednesday 46 Burton Albion 47 Huddersfield Town 48 Stevenage 49 Hartlepool United or Yeovil Town 50 Peterborough United 51 Notts County or AFC Bournemouth 52 Droylsden or Leyton Orient 53 Crawley Town or Swindon Town 54 Brighton & Hove Albion or FC United of Manchester 55 Southampton 56 Torquay United 57 Charlton Athletic or Luton Town 58 Colchester United 59 Hereford United or Lincoln City 60 Port Vale or Accrington Stanley 61 Wycombe Wanderers 62 Carlisle United 63 Dover Athletic 64 York City
fanimal Posted 28 November, 2010 Posted 28 November, 2010 Reading away, take loads of fans good day out, good cup tie chance of a win, better than the last two limp cup matches.
Saint_lambden Posted 28 November, 2010 Posted 28 November, 2010 As long as it's an exciting draw - not like the last two, I'd prefer away to Arsenal or at home to anyone beatable (Reading etc) Bet it's something sh-t like Colchester away.
Denzil Posted 28 November, 2010 Posted 28 November, 2010 Northampton away, we haven't played them for ages.
Thedelldays Posted 28 November, 2010 Posted 28 November, 2010 any team from the NPC or Prem away (apart from pompey) so we can get knocked out
Saints67 Posted 28 November, 2010 Posted 28 November, 2010 A home draw against a side that everyone on here goes 'meh' about or an away draw against Preston North End. Win and keep winning!
oldsarum Posted 28 November, 2010 Posted 28 November, 2010 Arsenal away please, so we can all have a good day out, a good pay day, get knocked out and concentrate on the league
dickyhale Posted 28 November, 2010 Posted 28 November, 2010 Cheltenham would be good. We rolled them over last time we played them. Another well contribute piece of worthless twoddle from Deppo........Thank You
Whitey Grandad Posted 28 November, 2010 Posted 28 November, 2010 I'll take whatever team we get drawn against. Would you prefer home or away?
sambosa75 Posted 28 November, 2010 Posted 28 November, 2010 Newcastle home or away on a Saturday please.
SuperMikey Posted 28 November, 2010 Posted 28 November, 2010 Preston at home, they've been shocking this season and a cup run would be nice.
Thedelldays Posted 28 November, 2010 Posted 28 November, 2010 Newcastle home or away on a Saturday please. no thanks....cant stand that club
fish fingers Posted 28 November, 2010 Posted 28 November, 2010 Arsenal or Fulham away. Although would love to have Harry back at SMS
Joesaint Posted 28 November, 2010 Posted 28 November, 2010 6- I would want a team that would best get us to the next round. I love the fa cup and feel although the league is more important the fa cup comes second. JP Trophie and the league cup are not as important. Although I would rest the most important players if possibe in the fa cup, its also a great way to look at players when the pressure is on ie OG did well as did Bart in goal.
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 28 November, 2010 Posted 28 November, 2010 Spuds at home would be nice. Obviously we would get stuffed, but it would be nice to give Redknapp some stick.
