Colinjb Posted 25 November, 2010 Share Posted 25 November, 2010 Must be tight, especially as they cannot buy any replacements.
georgeweahscousin Posted 25 November, 2010 Share Posted 25 November, 2010 Interesting move. Their chairman is getting a lot of stick about this from Cherries fans.
ribbo Posted 25 November, 2010 Share Posted 25 November, 2010 he's southampton born so i wish him the best but thats a nice return for bournemouth, he would have been worth a lot less when his form dropped off as bournemouth slide down the table. Crab Lungs Posted 25 November, 2010 Share Posted 25 November, 2010 Surely Bompey could have asked their big brother to the east whether it is necessary to bother with paying bills? I'm sure they could have kept him and added a few extra players if they'd just shown a bit more of a ballsy disregard to staying solvent.
stevegrant Posted 25 November, 2010 Share Posted 25 November, 2010 Surprised they managed to get that much for him, to be honest. He's scored a few this season, but before this season he'd scored one league goal (which was actually an own goal incorrectly credited to him!) in 16 starts and 36 sub appearances

I actually feel a little bit sad for them at what they have been through with transfer embargos and even loan embargos over the last few years, whilst the cheating tax dodging scum bags to the east of us steal charity money, don't pay bills, continue living way way beyond their means, yet run screaming to the authorities the moment somebody doesn't pay them their dues on the dot. SuperMikey Posted 25 November, 2010 Share Posted 25 November, 2010 Surprised they managed to get that much for him, to be honest. He's scored a few this season, but before this season he'd scored one league goal (which was actually an own goal incorrectly credited to him!) in 16 starts and 36 sub appearances I think he switched from left wing to striker this season to cover injuries and ended up scoring a few. Fair play to him though, hope it works out for him because he's got a bit of potential.
Saint_John Posted 25 November, 2010 Share Posted 25 November, 2010 You have to laugh, the online Bournemouth Echo has 2 stories on McQuoid today http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/ The 1st timed at 07:00 saying he is "Not for Sale" (http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/8686409.Cherries__Mitchell_intent_on_keeping_prize_asset_Josh/) CHAIRMAN Eddie Mitchell insisted Josh McQuoid would be staying at Dean Court.. The 2nd, 4 hours and 21 mins later saying "He is Sold" http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/8688459.Cherries__McQuoid_deal_is_finalised/ MILLWALL have, in the past hour, completed the loan signing of Cherries star Josh McQuoid. I wonder how many bottles of champagne that will buy ?
dubai_phil Posted 28 November, 2010 Share Posted 28 November, 2010 Well, at least there is now a chance that they will still have the keys to their stadium for when they play us.
