Surely Bompey could have asked their big brother to the east whether it is necessary to bother with paying bills? I'm sure they could have kept him and added a few extra players if they'd just shown a bit more of a ballsy disregard to staying solvent.

Surprised they managed to get that much for him, to be honest. He's scored a few this season, but before this season he'd scored one league goal (which was actually an own goal incorrectly credited to him!) in 16 starts and 36 sub appearances

I actually feel a little bit sad for them at what they have been through with transfer embargos and even loan embargos over the last few years, whilst the cheating tax dodging scum bags to the east of us steal charity money, don't pay bills, continue living way way beyond their means, yet run screaming to the authorities the moment somebody doesn't pay them their dues on the dot.

I think he switched from left wing to striker this season to cover injuries and ended up scoring a few. Fair play to him though, hope it works out for him because he's got a bit of potential.
