Justin C Posted 27 November, 2010 Share Posted 27 November, 2010 A good line up. Will be interesting to see the bench to see if there are a few kids on it.
itchen_dan Posted 27 November, 2010 Share Posted 27 November, 2010 Shame Martin doesn't get a chance. Would've liked to see Doble get a go as well. He must be decent if he can get in the full Welsh side.

benjii Posted 27 November, 2010 Share Posted 27 November, 2010 I note Connolly is not in the squad. I think it's a fair opinion that he is arguably, when fit, our best striker but it looks as though he might be paying a visit to the treatment room instead today. Hope Ben Reeves gets a run out at some point. I'll be really interested to see how he gets on against adults, having only seen him play in the U18s where he usually stood out as a class player. Could be a great full back if he can handle the physical side of things in the first team, but he sure isn't another van Gobbel in stature. Window Cleaner Posted 27 November, 2010 Share Posted 27 November, 2010 may god go with connolly if he crossed cortese don't see why he should have though, more likely didn't think so much of not getting a game when our "star striker" could score his way out of a wet paper bag.I suggest that maintaining the ridiculously out of form Lambert in the side is causing problems. fish fingers Posted 27 November, 2010 Share Posted 27 November, 2010 A Shame that Connolly is not fit today, he does spend a lot of time out of the first team due to injury. When fit he is probably our most effective striker.

It is a real shame. There is no doubt of Connolly's ability, and I would certainly rank him in the upper echelons of saints' striker hierarchy. However, and this is the crucial part, he spends far too much time in and around the treatment room.
