Barnard has had treatment and has to rest for 3-4 days. He will likely resume training on Monday.

I think he may rest 1 or 2 but I hope we get the win defo dont want a draw the league is be all & end all this season we have to get promoted this season or we will lose our best players our only hope of getting Lallana to sign is to go up.

Also, Bart, Connelly and Martin could use some game time. But it's dangerous to make 6 changes. I hope for maybe 3 from these.

If I were NA I'd pick: Bialkowski Reeves Seabourne (If fit) Martin Butterfield Dickson Hammond Gobern Holmes Lambert Doble I have a funny feeling we may see James Ward-Prowse and/or Jake Sinclair on the bench, don't know why I think that, but I think we might.

If Ricky is firing all all ..whatever you said, and he doesn't score against Cheltenham then we seriously have to look at some extra cover up front..

Fonte is possibly our most important player, I wouldn't want to play him either. Nothing at all wrong with either Martin or Seaborne and I see no reason they can't play together. They are both young, athletic, eager to prove and above all, good. Same with Bart. I don't get the general attitude on here that playing him would be to our detriment. He put in some excellent performances last season, notably against Charlton and Norwich in the JPT. In fact in the 12 games he played last season, we won 9, drew 1 and lost 2. The two defeats were at Leeds and Colchester. Both bogey grounds for Saints. 2 of those wins came playing for Barnsley in CCC. There's no point in having a squad if you're not prepared to play half the players.

I saw him play twice in pre-season and I still can't understand why we signed him

captainchris Posted 26 November, 2010 Posted 26 November, 2010 Schneiderlin doesn't rate a place at the moment he is a long way behind Chaplow and Hammond when it comes to the needs of the team. He has scored one goal in over two seasons and never gets into dangerous positions. In a team with aspirations to win the league and most of it's matches against hard working teams the last thing we need is a strolling player that settles for nothing passes to players five yds away and then holds. He never ever goes on the sort of run that both Hammond and Chaplow carried out for Chaplow's goal. A lot of the time he takes up the role of a strolling spectator and more often than not when a crisp forward move is started stops it by playing a square or backward pass then rather than move for the return holds and strolls. After two seasons he is a luxury player we can do without. Very observant and true................
