Essruu Posted 25 November, 2010 Share Posted 25 November, 2010 Barnard Barnard --------------BARNARD---- Pretty sure one of Barnard / Lambert will start. i would be amazed if barney plays Thedelldays is correct. Barnard has had treatment and has to rest for 3-4 days. He will likely resume training on Monday.
Dalek2003 Posted 25 November, 2010 Share Posted 25 November, 2010 Connolly could be a decisive player in this game and he is without a doubt one of our best players. Trouble is that he spends a lot of time in the treatment room.

Badger Posted 25 November, 2010 Share Posted 25 November, 2010 Living in Gloucestershire I do not want to see us resting too many,or taking the game too lightly. No, this is not the match to experiment or start with Bart. See Cheltenham have a skate bastard playing, just to add some venom to it.
Smirking_Saint Posted 25 November, 2010 Share Posted 25 November, 2010 I notice Leftback has disappeared... Anyways. Davis Frazier Jaidi Martin Dickson Lallana Hammond Gobern Holmes Connolly Lambert I reckon Hopefully we don't pick up any injuries/suspensions. I couldn't really care much for the FA Cup this season, as much as i would love us to go far, i can't stand this poxy league. And yeah, thats a bit arrogant, but i don't care, this league is sh*t. West End Saint Posted 26 November, 2010 Share Posted 26 November, 2010 We need to play a decent team and win the game not that bothered about the FA Cup but important to maintain our home form would be nice to see Lambo score from open play all he needs is a couple of goals. I think he may rest 1 or 2 but I hope we get the win defo dont want a draw the league is be all & end all this season we have to get promoted this season or we will lose our best players our only hope of getting Lallana to sign is to go up. Stubby Posted 26 November, 2010 Share Posted 26 November, 2010 Would like to see Holmes start and I think with nobody coming in today it's pretty crucial for Doble and Gobern to get some game time. Yes. Also, Bart, Connelly and Martin could use some game time. But it's dangerous to make 6 changes. I hope for maybe 3 from these.

supersonic Posted 26 November, 2010 Share Posted 26 November, 2010 Would like to see a few changes, i don't know why people on here are so worried about us bringing in players like Bialkowski/Doble/Gobern etc, we still should beat Cheltenham. If I were NA I'd pick: Bialkowski Reeves Seabourne (If fit) Martin Butterfield Dickson Hammond Gobern Holmes Lambert Doble I have a funny feeling we may see James Ward-Prowse and/or Jake Sinclair on the bench, don't know why I think that, but I think we might. david in sweden Posted 26 November, 2010 Share Posted 26 November, 2010 Another chance to get Sir Rickie firing on all cylinders, if this had been a league match then there might have been a selection issue. If Ricky is firing all all ..whatever you said, and he doesn't score against Cheltenham then we seriously have to look at some extra cover up front.. Lighthouse Posted 26 November, 2010 Share Posted 26 November, 2010 well.....almost ! I don't think I'd play both Seaborne AND Martin, one or the other, with Fonte OR Jaidi, maybe Not Jaidi, I'd say 3 games in a week is a bit beyond his legs. Fonte is possibly our most important player, I wouldn't want to play him either. Nothing at all wrong with either Martin or Seaborne and I see no reason they can't play together. They are both young, athletic, eager to prove and above all, good. Same with Bart. I don't get the general attitude on here that playing him would be to our detriment. He put in some excellent performances last season, notably against Charlton and Norwich in the JPT. In fact in the 12 games he played last season, we won 9, drew 1 and lost 2. The two defeats were at Leeds and Colchester. Both bogey grounds for Saints. 2 of those wins came playing for Barnsley in CCC. There's no point in having a squad if you're not prepared to play half the players.

eurosaint Posted 26 November, 2010 Share Posted 26 November, 2010 Bart should play ! It is out of order that he can't get the odd appearance IMHO ! He has played at a much higher level than v Cheltenham Town and (given that we should do most of the attacking anyway!) surely wouldn't let us down ! I just think that it must be demoralising, permanently waiting for KD to pick up an injury !!

captainchris Posted 26 November, 2010 Share Posted 26 November, 2010 Schneiderlin doesn't rate a place at the moment he is a long way behind Chaplow and Hammond when it comes to the needs of the team. He has scored one goal in over two seasons and never gets into dangerous positions. In a team with aspirations to win the league and most of it's matches against hard working teams the last thing we need is a strolling player that settles for nothing passes to players five yds away and then holds. He never ever goes on the sort of run that both Hammond and Chaplow carried out for Chaplow's goal. A lot of the time he takes up the role of a strolling spectator and more often than not when a crisp forward move is started stops it by playing a square or backward pass then rather than move for the return holds and strolls. After two seasons he is a luxury player we can do without. Very observant and true................
