The9 Posted 1 December, 2010 Posted 1 December, 2010 Some strange arguments here, which mainly seem to be around identifying teams who have more than two strikers scoring goals. How is that supposed to happen when by definition if those two strikers are playing and scoring there aren't any other strikers getting a game ? As for panicking about strength in depth, we won't know until Lambert and Barnard are both unavailable, and even then Guly and Connolly, and possibly Oxlade-Chamberlain and Doble make for better back-up than pretty much anyone in the league. Doble for one won't get a game and won't develop if we bring the likes of Bignall in more often, and if he's good enough then that's saved us having to buy someone in. He'll probably end up going on loan to a League Two side first though.
The9 Posted 1 December, 2010 Posted 1 December, 2010 Speaking of loans, nice to see Poolis making his mark. He's now been involved in 11 Stockport matches (only once as sub), and they've beaten Barnet and Bury, lost 5-0 THREE TIMES and also lost 4-1. You have to assume every other Saints player has improved just by not having him around !

I was just pointing out that to expect any team in this league to have 3 or even 4 regular goalscorers, with two of them not starting regularly, is absurd.
