yes please....he tore this league apart when he was last in it.

But surely he'd prefer to go to a promotion chasing CCC team? He can do a job there as he scored over 10 goals for Leicester last year. Still find it odd how he cant get into the team as i think he's a terrific player.

Most unlikely given the other clubs in the chase.

Adkins might be able to clinch a loan rather than anything permanent as no doubt Mandaric will use all his influence to persuade those at Leicester to do us a favour.

He would be awesome. Better than 1 in 2 record in League 1 (53 in 105). In Championship over last season and this he is scoring just about 1 every 2.5 games.

At only 24 on our youngish developing team he could fulfil his potential here better than Hull or almost anywhere.

Get him in NA!!

I think being in the league below could work in our favour here, Sven may not want to loan him to another side in the Championship.

Now that would be an awesome signing, but with CCC clubs interested, we won't get a look in.

I think you're doing our club and set-up a dis-service there. Unless he goes to a promotion chasing team with a great chance of actually going up, i.e. Cardiff or QPR, I think that coming to us would guarantee our promotion so he would only be sacrificing a few months of NPC footy for a few exciting months of winning and championship winning footy. And once we are up next season with our set-up and financial clout we wil be very well placed to challenge for top two.

As for his personal deveopment he clearly isn't ready for the Prem anyway so a season or twoand a half with us will suit him perfectly.

Just had a look on the Leicester Forum to see if they had any inside info. A lot of them agree with Appy, by saying Sven would be mad to loan him out to a fellow Championship team due to DJ Campbell going out last season. Plus they also feel a drop down a division would be great to boost his confidence as his form it said to be very poor at the mo! Would love to see a Friatt/Lambo strike force. Lots of goals...hopefully!

Furthermore - we all forget that both Barnard and Fonte signed for us in the January transfer window when Championship clubs were interested.

would be a bloody good signing

might sound OK but at 1'78" tall he's hardly a big CF and we already have Connolly and Barnard around that height.

He's likely a replacement for when Barney has his hernia op. ..but i'dstill like to sign another big man ..you know --

someone over 6' .. too much to ask?

Blimey, at one foot seventy-eight inches he makes Peter Crouch look like one of Santa's elves.

Someone blogged the Echo site claiming he had turned down a loan to Southampton preferring to stay and fight for his place but if he did not get enough games between now and January, a move here could still be on the cards.

If we are in a really strong position in January, we will need to sign players who can potentially get us out of the Championship. A striker who can't get a game at Leicester probably won't be the answer.

If he's turned us down, I wouldn't go back for him.
