Single-arm Clean-and-Press with dumbell - 40 reps

Pullups - 20 reps

Did the above in 21 minutes and it sure is a killer. Think my back suffered the most (doesn't like pullups)

What I find impressive about this training programme is that it can all be done at pure gym in Bitterne at only £16.99 a month with £20 joining fee. The gym is open 24 hours and there is no contract. Personal training is also avaliable.

You wouldn't work there now would you Moon Monkey ;-)

Good effort mate. This is apparantly a warm up one to start with and then move onto the one in the OP once you can complete this

25 bodyweight rows

50 bodyweight squats

50 pushups

50 jumping jacks

50 mountain climbers

50 close grip pushups

25 bodyweight rows

Not done this one yet but will give it a go tomorrow. You can swap excercises with the other one so maybe swap squats for deadlift if no bar available?

If I have no bar, what is a good substitute for a bodyweight row? I've found some bloke on youtube doing a very strange exercise (

) and when I tried it my elbow felt like it was going to break.

Ok cool, i'll probably have a look at that this weekend. Some nice exercises there that I didn't know about, particularly the floor wipers.

Might try these in a few weeks when i can start my gym work again, not really doing much ATM and its p*ssing me off, my physio won't even let me start swimming yet.

The only thing i am doing is the press ups, sit ups challenges on this site http://hundredpushups.com/ and TBF i can already see a difference.

But i need to step up my training as soon as i can. I still need to drop about a stone, i let myself turn into a fat b*stard over the past few years and i am paying for it now. Still 1 1/2 stone down and working my ass off to get the rest gone. Its the beer that does it. :(

It was actually one of those skinny Turkish bodybuilders with body image problems.

Oh thats okay then, for a minute i thought you might be into beefcakes. I'd suggest we meet up but you seem to be trying to hook up with Liquidshokk at the moment, so i dont want to stand in the way of true romance for a meaningless fling.

The hundred push ups site looks interesting, thanks for the link. I've never really done any weights or strength work at all. I do a fair bit of running (miniumum 10 miles a week) but am keen to to build myself up a bit. I'll try this as a base and see how I get on. It'll be a long time before I am getting near this work out though!
