Quick question if anyone can help.

I am currently based out in Germany. I have a friend who is doing a course in Southampton from Tuesday till the end of the week and he thought he would like to go to the game tuesday night while he is there. I am on the database so ordering a ticket wont be a problem for him, however will he need to provide id when picking up a ticket from the ticket office? Obviously the ticket will be in my name!

Nope but they usually ask your surname and address just to verify it is you.

The good news is Brighton are a decent outfit so they will come to play rather than defend. That definitely suits us.

We will be right up for it and after Saturday's performance we are hitting the straps at just the right time whereas Brighton are stumbling.

I can see us putting in a similar type of performance to Huddersfield at home last season - besides which we owe them one anyway.

3 or 4 - 1 to Saints.

Yes thats correct, name, house number post code etc, tell your mate to do it in plenty of time ie today if you can, pretty sure there will be a big walk up prior to the game

Although there is a seperate queue for ticket collections I believe? Make sure you know his details too!

Is seaboourne fit? he was on bench against carlisle but wasn't involved at all against peterborough. normal service resumed on OS i.e F all info about injuries/absences.

did anyone else notice on BBC website highlights Connolly heading straight for the tunnel at the final whistle? I reckon he was not too happy with Guly coming on before him. In my mind Connolly is more of a liek for like replacement for Barnard however Guly scored so cant argue with Nige's decision.

They might come with this intention, but the way we're playing i'm sure we'll have them on the back foot from the off. Massive game and should be a massive turning point in the season.

lb said (and we all know he tells you more than the OS ever will) that Seaborne was now injured and mentioned 3 weeks out.

I am still not totally convinced that we handle expectancy as well as we could/should be able to,as a team. Therefore agreeing with

Corky again,I am also nervous about the game. If we play as well as we can, there is no reason that we should not win, however last

seasons result will hopefully act as the wake up call we need,to start playing from the first minute.

I thought we were going to beat them last year & we were rubbish. I am worried even more by the fact that they are missing some of their better players. We should win, we can win, but it does not mean that we will win...................................nervous

This is true . But last year Brighton had a new manager and we underestimated both them , and Poyets influence on his new team. This time around will be different . Everybody is expecting a tough challenge and we will be ready for them .

Adkins is praising the support which is nice but he mentions NC backing him finacially too. I know some have questioned if the money will still be there or not but has there been anything else latley suggesting otherwise?

Seemed a bit strange that he threw in the comments unless I have missed something?

To be accurate it's not NC backing him, it's the Liebherr family, and if it's true I am very grateful to them.

It is Cortese, Cortese decides whether the money is spent, he backs the manager. He is the one in contact with the family.

Adkins is learning fast. Mr Cortese does not take it kindly when the Liebherr family are credited with anything Saints. Mr Cortese bought the money to the table, Mr Cortese makes all the decisions. What this club has achieved is down to him. I can live with that providing he gets us the success we crave. ;)

Well yeah fair point but NC is the link between the family and the club so using NC as the person backing the club is fair enough I think. It would take a complete mentalist saints supporter to not know its the Liebherr family that have the money.

Still think its a bit odd that Adkins has brought this up at a time when the team is starting to deliver on the pitch and money doesnt seem to be a worry.

Has the press been asking questions about possible backing in January?

Unless of course Markus set aside a certain amount of money for the club which his family have no further control over,he trusted NC implicitly it would seem and it may well be that such a sum is completely at the clubs disposal as long as NC alone sanctions it.

The article is just a re-write of the BBC Radio Solent interview from Saturday, the journalist asked him about spending in January.

You can see the full interview on Saints Player.

Gutted I am missing this.

I genuinely think we should beat them at home, but also have a strange feeling that we won't. They seem to be one of those clubs, like Swindon that have a hold over us.

Play at our best though and we should be ok, I think we need to start with a high tempo though, get the wingers attacking them hard and fast.

Could turn the season in our favour if we win. Their confidence will be knocked.
