Who would you say is the most hated ex player or who would you say has had the most stick from us fans after leaving? Kevin Phillips sticks in my mind !

Posted

Why? he was good for us. Not a fan of Kenyne Jones, going on strike is a s*** c**** move. Also Leon Best or Nathan Dyer for the way they left, obviously thought they were too big for the club. None of them showed any respect for the club which developed them.

Ricardo Fuller, Kenwyne Jones, Luis Boa Morte, Leon Best, Agustin Delgado, Kevin Phillips, Jelle Van Damme, Nathan Dyer, Adam Hammill, David McGoldrick, Vincent Pericard, would all get my back up if we played against them.

David Speedie and Kerry Dixon. Never wanted to play for us from the start.

As with Mark Hughes, only interested in a payday whilst living off of past glories elsewhere.

Dean Richards took some abuse after leaving as well.

Why Best and Dyer ?? They moved on, we were in freefall so would I.

I would have a word with Best though, not angrily, but defo call him a dopey c*nt with his big toe.

Jones for me, the way he went on strike, i can accept players wanting to move on, thats football, but not going on strike.

What made you think that of Best? It always seemed to me he left because he wasn't offered a contract until after he scored a load of goals near the end of that season, i.e he didn't feel properly appreciated. Fair enough.

Ricardo Fuller for me. Not just for being sh*t and a c*nt when here, but does anyone else remember when he shot from that drop ball in the last minute? Utter w*nker.

3 or 4 i thnk, hardly loads of goals. Why would he be offered a new contract before that? He played a handful of games and wasn't in the side until the second half of the season, he didn't deserve a first team contract before that as he wasn't a first team player. as soon as he was he wanted out.

Fuller wasn't that bad, but the fans were on his back from day one, unless he played like Messi he was never going to win the fans over.

Fuller seemed to carry the can for Lowe and Redknapp only spending 90k on a striker rather than paying £4m for Clinton Morrison...

David Prutton. I wouldn't waste my car's brake pedal to save that talentless waving tw at.

Seems harsh to me. He wasnt the worlds best player, thats true, but he at least looked like he cared about the shirt. Certifiable, yes, but I cant see much reason to dislike him from his time here.

David Hurst.

In a Southampton pub mouthing off he didnt care he was injured the mugs (Saints) were still paying him. ....... Step up one Liverpool fan who ****ted him and told him he shouldnt talk like that in Southampton.

My issue with Fuller wasn't so much his performances for us but the way he gobbed off for 90 minutes on his return to SMS. Actually it wasn't 90 minutes as the stroppy tart was taken off before the end with 'Fuller ****' ringing in his ears

RedCrap team for me - father (ok not a player, but has the be the most detested creature to be associated with Saints - I will start supporting another national team if he ever becomes England manager), and son - Jamie, only came here due to daddy paying him a huge pay cheque for an injured player and then being less than complimentary about his paymasters after leaving us (s©ee yoU Next Tuesday).

Steve Williams would be worth a consideration (even though I loved watching him play for us) - we made him the player he was, went to the Arse (fair enough) but no need for snide remarks re Saints and then faded in to oblivion (quite unspectacularly at that). Lawrie -with his spirtual home (and southern supporters not really understanding footy as it should be - unlike the northerns - who really welcomed him !!!!! and now he tries to pass himself off as god's gift to all things Saints - just F off).

Sort of shows what we all know doesn't it. £90k for a player who's in the PL or £4m for a player (hang on, let me google him)........who's playing for Sheffield Wednesday

you can't knock Dyer, he's a legend.

Ended the illegal Pompey FA Cup adventure in front of the Fratton End, then told them to be quiet about the fact that he'd stolen from them!

All past sins forgiven.

I have a lot of time for many of the players mentioned. Some of them Saints fans were very wrong about, some did their best, and I think some were possibly misquoted.

But that *** Andy Townsend gets on my nerves. He fits perfectly on ITV

Jamie Redknapp for me, although that's more about how much of a c*nt he is than how he played for us.

I feel the same way about the arrogant, self promoting, knob. What does make him such an expert ?

Disliked the way Richard Hall suddenly thought he was too good for us! For some reason Micky Adams gets my back up but as someone says hate is a strong word and one I would not use on these two.

Hate though is used on my feelings towards Arry boy though!

Ok, i'll say it................Beattie

Agreed. He gave up in the season he left us. What made it worse was he was made Captain, by Redknapp.

Arrogant Person with less talent than he believes he has. Cant even get in the Rangers Team now.

Perfect example of a 'Modern Day Footballer' - only interested in the money.

Sad thing is, for a couple of seasons, he was a great player for Saints.

Harry f**king Redknapp.

Words cannot express my contempt for the man.

As for players, never thought particularly highly of Quashie. Don't hate any other them really.

I don't know if this is shared amongst saints fans, but the only memory I have of Prutton is him trying to beat up the linesman against Arsenal

Like the man said...also agree that if he became part of the England set up I'd invoke my tenuous Spanish ancestry link.

I also detest Wise....

i rememder colin clarke stating he wanted to go to a bigger club? he then went to QPR still makes me laugh to this day! the dumd irish ****!

Yep i remember that too, was whinging for his whole first season though, got 22 goals in his first season and got a bit big time, moaning about his contract saying he wanted to go to a bigger club then ended up at QPR.

and missing an open goal from 2 yards away at WBA. To be fair to him he is another one that had his best games for us when he didn't play. People slagged him off when he was on the pitch but moaned about how much we missed him during that ban.

I remember him against Liverpool, absolutely ran the show.
