doubleonothing Posted 15 November, 2010 Posted 15 November, 2010 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2221375,00.html Appologies if posted already. Is it really donating the space to charity when it is the club's own charity? Nothing against it (its a good idea) but not sure about their headline.
Colinjb Posted 15 November, 2010 Posted 15 November, 2010 Saints donate shirt space to their own charity. Good work lads.
Saint Lindford Posted 15 November, 2010 Posted 15 November, 2010 Shame they could not have put a poppy on the shirt this weekend and auctioned them off for Service charities!
fareham saint phil Posted 16 November, 2010 Posted 16 November, 2010 Shame they could not have put a poppy on the shirt this weekend and auctioned them off for Service charities! Noticed sunderland didnt have a poppy on theirs either, I always liked us doing that and wouldnt have thought it was too much to organise, must have been a couple of years now, did many other league 1 sides do it???

Scummer Posted 16 November, 2010 Posted 16 November, 2010 Surprised how little comment there has been on this. I wonder how they chose the matches to do this?
The9 Posted 16 November, 2010 Posted 16 November, 2010 I can honestly say my life wouldn't be affected one iota if the Saints Foundation didn't exist, and I'm not sure I even care about the work they do, wonderful though I'm sure it is. As for sticking it on the shirt, that just looks like a bit of self-congratulatory back-slapping, who's it actually advertising to and for what purpose ?
CWD Posted 16 November, 2010 Posted 16 November, 2010 Nice idea, but something like Naomi House would have been better imo
Matthew Le God Posted 16 November, 2010 Posted 16 November, 2010 who's it actually advertising to and for what purpose ? Not every Saints fan would be aware of its existence. This may help raise awareness and may possibly lead to more donations.
