Maybe start at 125 and build the tension ? ;)

I'll get Le Tiss v Arsenal, last match at the Dell out of the way for ya. And 9 of his others here - that should get people thinking a bit about the non-OBVIOUS ones.

Graeme Le Saux V Norwich. Long ball up, Crouch nod down, Quashie flicks it on and Le Saux tees himself up for a volley into the far corner - and it didn't touch the ground once.

Terry Paine v Leyton Orient 1966 to give us Promotion in 1966

Followed by David Burnside in the FA CUP Quarter Final 1963 to bring us level after being 3 0 with twelve minutes to go - Both Pressure Goals

Double dink v Newcastle

Gets my vote.

Worthy mentions :

Golac v West Brom

Paul Gilchrist V West Brom FA Cup replay 1976...back to goal, flicked it up and volleyed it...a goal MLT would have been proud of.

Keegan's overhead vMan Utd (but disallowed).

Phil Boyer's second v. Notts Forest in 1979.

Superb one touch football move finished off by a great player for us.

Remember this well...possibly Alan Ball's best game for us too...he was unplayable bouncing short, accurate, perfectly-paced passes all over the pitch!:):):)

Reminded me, Ball v Forest at Wembley in 1979. He was involved in setting up David Peach for a good first goal.

Ron Davies against Man City at dell a Tues night game. Ron went on a run and O'neill spotted him and punted the ball over Ron's head and Ron hit it on the volley across the face of Corrigan's goal into the far corner of the net. One of the few goals I saw him score with his foot!! It was either the 70/71 or 71/72 season when City were after the title we ended up 2-1 winners. Also Terry Paines equaliser against Hammers after we were 3 goals down after 20 mins. Any goal that LE TISS scored!!

A Jason Dodd 20 yd screamer at the Milton end v West Ham, pure strike from a very unlikely source.

Rasiak's equaliser at Derby in the play-off semi, as good as you will see anywhere.

Lambert's 35 yarder away at MK last season, knew exactly what he was going to do and executed it perfectly.

Lallana away at West Brom, the coolest of finishes in a pressure-cooker atmosphere to grab a point that helped to keep us up and cap an outstanding 10 minute cameo.... great game that one!

Posted

Barry Horne v Bolton is the FA Cup replay even better as it got us back to 2-2 and we then went on to win.

Brian O'Neil v Everon the day we got relegated

Pahars v Pompey

Le Tiss v Newcastle/ Blackburn/ Norwich take your pick

Golac v W Brom

Channon v Liverpool

Remember that goal.City were going for the title,we needed to win to make sure we stayed up. c1971. As a youngster it was incredible how The Dell shook with the celebrations for the remaining ten minutes or so.I thought it was 2-0 but ...

Beattie free kick against Arsenal in the 3-2 win at home. Surprised he's not been mentioned more yet, scored some screamers for us, Boro away as well, can't remember the score.
