trousers Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 Have to admit when I saw the three CM I did think that Adkins was selecting 4-5-1 because it always seems like it's the "right thing" to do when away from home. Carlisle focus on wing play, so having more bodies in the centre of the pitch doesn't really help. I thought: "too cautious for a team on a roll"
Saint_clark Posted 13 November, 2010 Author Posted 13 November, 2010 Sounds like if there is a problem today it's with the back 4 yet the commentators decide it must be down to changing the midfield and forward system. Harding for Dickson anyone? Dropping Seabourne was a mistake. No idea what his reasoning was there.
dune Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 Put two up front NOW!! This is brighton awaylast season all over again.
Ohio Saint Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 I'm gonna be totally elated when we win this 2-3
latter day saint Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 Put two up front NOW!! This is brighton awaylast season all over again. This.
brightspark Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 another one of those days I go to bed thinking "can I possibly get used to supporting a League 1 club for the rest of my life?"
Window Cleaner Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 Still not suited to 4-5-1 it seems, especially with lambert in poor form. Harding scores own goal. We have got this wrong tactically by a mile, imo. right; Chamberlain is surplus to requirements against a defence like Carlisle's how long are we going to keep playing a kid like him midweek in the kids and Saturday with the men, different style of football. The easy peasy lemon squeezy day out against D+R has f**ked with their heads.
Liquidshokk Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 Seems we are very disjointed with the shake ups in place... get back to winning setup please Adkins...
scotty Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 I don't think we'll concede a goal the way our defence is now gelling. yesterday seems so long ago.....
Saint_clark Posted 13 November, 2010 Author Posted 13 November, 2010 Harding having a shocker. He gets wound up very easily so taking him off would be a good idea. Commentator says the Carlisle keeper is yet to be tested - well that's a lie. He saved from a Lallana shot earlier on. Or did he make that up?
Window Cleaner Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 See there they are referring to beating D°R as some sort of desirable bench mark. They were abysmal and we have forgotten how it is in the real world.
trousers Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 Get a goal before half time and it's game on http://www.stating-the-obvious.com
Born In The 80s Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 I am shocked that any saints fan is surprised at this pathetic start. We've been awful for a while now (bar the Tranmere game, when we were playing against what looked like the local blind school), and a poor result was always on the cards against any half decent side. Beating the ****e sides and losing to the good teams isn't good enough for a squad that boasts the kind of firepower ours does.
dune Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 yesterday seems so long ago..... Having 1 man up front hardly makes it difficult for them to be adventurous.
OttawaSaint Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 This calls for desparate measures: 7C and partly cloudy here in Ottawa, Ontario....
benjii Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 Commentators are getting on my nerves. You'd think we were getting beaten at home by a non-league team the way they're banging on.
ericofarabia Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 Righty ho .... I'll play the joker (although it seems our defence has beaten me to it!!) it was a lovely sunny day today, a few clouds in the distance, temps mid 30's and mid 20's overnight.
Saint_clark Posted 13 November, 2010 Author Posted 13 November, 2010 A mate just text me saying he left at the second goal, wanting to get back home early. Please win this now Saints...
dune Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 According to solent NA is experimenting. If it ain't broke don't fix it. This is NA's first mistake.
saint lard Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 Adkins has made a huge error today, thus far. Change it now. That is all i will say on the matter ref Adkins, i promise.
itchen_dan Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 Peterborough 0-4 Charlton!! Now I wouldn't have predicted that..
Ohio Saint Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 (edited) ...................... Edited 13 November, 2010 by Ohio Saint oops!
Window Cleaner Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 Change the formation now Adkins FFS the formation won't make any difference, it's the personnel that we have on the field, the abysmal Lambert and the out of his depth Chamberlain who is nowhere near hard enough for a tough role such as this.
Ohio Saint Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 Oh crap!!! Shouldn't try to work and listen at the same time.
.comsaint Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 According to solent NA is experimenting. If it ain't broke don't fix it. This is NA's first mistake. Unless of course we end up winning 3-2 . . .
dune Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 This is dreadful. We're gonna get hammered at this rate.
saint1977 Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 Sounds like if there is a problem today it's with the back 4 yet the commentators decide it must be down to changing the midfield and forward system. Harding for Dickson anyone? I'd go 3-5-2, get Dickson, Barnard and Seaborne on, Harding, Chamberlain and Morgan off. Don't know if Richardson is fit enough yet to play wing-back but let's gamble. Dean, Chappers and Lallana in middle. Seaborne should cancel Madine out a bit as Jaidi and Fonte sound awful today. Still, push both of them forward at set pieces and see if Jaidi can repeat last year's late equaliser.
scotty Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 User intent is to see pictures of Miley Cirus naked. Although naked, none of these people are Miley Cirus. The LP is OT and has a strong spam element with keyword stuffing. wtf??
brightspark Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 Charlton 4-0 at Peterborough just shows how messed up this league is, they lost 4-0 to Brighton recently didn't they? I hate being in League 1 sometimes :/
saint lard Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 According to solent NA is experimenting. If it ain't broke don't fix it. This is NA's first mistake. Not convinced about that, but hey,now is not the time. COYS.
ericofarabia Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 Where are the nuns when we went them .... LOL describing a Carlisle players dive was like watching Ann Widdicombe On Cum Dancinfg as he went down
silversaint Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 Need to try and grab one before half time.
benjii Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 A mate just text me saying he left at the second goal, wanting to get back home early. Please win this now Saints... Why bother going? Is he a ****?
Ohio Saint Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 wtf?? Work and play does NOT mix well. Sorry.
S-Clarke Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 We're doing all the wrong things today, from the management through to the individual players We need HT quickly...
aintforever Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 Why change the formation for Carlisle for ****s sake.
ericofarabia Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 Why bother going? Is he a ****? Is it stuey !!
SuperMikey Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 Not a fan of 4-5-1, we've been winning games with 4-4-2 so why change it? FFS. Kick up the arse at HT and a Barney hat-trick please.
Liquidshokk Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 This commentator is a carlisle fan... he's practically creaming himself when carlisle get a chance.
saint lard Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 Another poor poor performance, except this time we will be lucky to get anything out of the game. Playing 4-4-2 has always given us a chance when we have not performed, today we are being found out.
Window Cleaner Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 Lambert is the problem, can't keep the ball for a nanosecond. GET HIM OFF
