iansums Posted 12 November, 2010 Posted 12 November, 2010 on loan for a month: http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/8633624.Cherries__Howe_swoops_for_striker_Bignall/
hypochondriac Posted 12 November, 2010 Posted 12 November, 2010 Odd that he left us then. Maybe we just didn't play him enough?
hypochondriac Posted 12 November, 2010 Posted 12 November, 2010 Or he was just a bit crap? Seems odd to take him on then.
Viking Warrior Posted 12 November, 2010 Posted 12 November, 2010 He was a replacement for Lee barnard with connolly alos injured, hence the short loan period
Weston Saint Posted 12 November, 2010 Posted 12 November, 2010 There is no point taking a young player on loan if he is not going to be used, especially as there is no chance of a permanent deal if he is any good. We have Lambert, Barnard, Guly and Connolly. Surely Doble is the lad we should be giving a chance rather than blood a loan player from somewhere else without signing prospect.

Plus, if i was the club loaning the player out i would rather he got game time, otherwise he may as well stay at the mother club and sit on their bench.
dune Posted 12 November, 2010 Posted 12 November, 2010 It's good that we're helpng out little clubs like the Cheries. Bless them.

Yep especially re the comments about Doble - lets get him blooded (as it were).

Bignall was barely used anyway, and especially with Connolly now back from injury (for how long....) there's no need to take Bignall on.
david in sweden Posted 12 November, 2010 Posted 12 November, 2010 Seems odd to take him on then. several articles on BBC site show that B'mouth have an injury crisis, and are desperate to have 11 fit players. Difficult to judge someone on a couple of sub.appearances but Reading obviously want him to get some experience and any game is experience for the lad. Let's hope he doesn't shock everyone and score a hat-trick every week. Remember Defoe's loan spell at B'mouth ..when he set a club goal-scoring record !

NickG Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 (edited) the ginger manager (forgotten his name!) said on solent that Reading didn't want him to go on loan unless was starting 11 Edited 13 November, 2010 by NickG
SNSUN Posted 13 November, 2010 Posted 13 November, 2010 he ginger manager (forgotten his name!) said on solent that Reading didn't want him to go on loan unless was starting 11 I thought he was bald... We could tell him Antonio'd make our first eleven fo' sho'. Bignall was cover. Thanks but no thanks.
rolosfc Posted 15 November, 2010 Posted 15 November, 2010 They may be above us in the league still and think they are big time now... but they will always be our feeder club!!
