scotty Posted 11 November, 2010 Posted 11 November, 2010 http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/2010/nov/11/amazon-ebooks-paedophiles-guide Amazon have just removed the Pedophiles Guidebook from their listings. Thoughts?
buctootim Posted 11 November, 2010 Posted 11 November, 2010 Weird. If someone published a guide to crystal meth and crack smoking im sure Amazon wouldnt go near it from the start, not wait for a public outcry before pulling it down.
dune Posted 11 November, 2010 Posted 11 November, 2010 Spare a thought for the pedo's, they can hardly walk into waterstones and ask for guide on kiddy fiddling.
benjii Posted 11 November, 2010 Posted 11 November, 2010 Maybe these guys can get hold of it? http://www.nambla.org/
scotty Posted 11 November, 2010 Author Posted 11 November, 2010 Maybe these guys can get hold of it? http://www.nambla.org/ is that a satirical site?

Saint Stimp Posted 11 November, 2010 Posted 11 November, 2010 Great publicity for the author.. Everyone's going to want to read it now.

jjsaint Posted 12 November, 2010 Posted 12 November, 2010 I'm boycotting Amazon, and am encouraging everyone I know to do the same. They never should have sold this filth. Now, if they publicise the names & addresses of anyone who had bought this book, I may consider using them again.

badgerx16 Posted 12 November, 2010 Posted 12 November, 2010 Not going anywhere near that link I googled it first, then having seen the list decided to erase my browser history, just in case.
Jonnyboy Posted 12 November, 2010 Posted 12 November, 2010 Don't act like you already weren't. actually thats my homepage
scotty Posted 12 November, 2010 Author Posted 12 November, 2010 I'd be inclined not to buy the thing, on the off-chance that anyone here was considering it. There is a real live on-the-register sex-offender living not far from me, his windows never stay in one piece for long, christ only knows what his insurance premiums cost.

benjii Posted 12 November, 2010 Posted 12 November, 2010 Re the "NAMBLA" link.... I actually Googled that because there is an episode of South Park featuring a spoof organisation called NAMBLA. That obviously is satirical and I thought maybe someone had set up a satirical site as an homage (no pun intended). So when I saw "nambla.org" as a result on my Google search, I assumed they had. As it happens it looks - somewhat remarkably - as though in fact a group of people were inspired to set up a serious version of it. Bizarre indeed.

Not quite sure if you are implying it or not in your post, but, NAMBLA has been around for quite a lot longer than the South Park episode.
