The Kraken Posted 9 November, 2010 Posted 9 November, 2010 From Saints twitter: Team: bialkowski, dickson, a.martin, tafazolli, argent, holmes, dean, gobern, mcnish, reeves, doble. Saints looking comfortable on the ball early on mcnish going closest to a goal so far with a shot just over the bar. Ben Reeves hits a low shot on to outside of the post from a Lee Holmes cross.
The Kraken Posted 9 November, 2010 Posted 9 November, 2010 25 mins GOAL! Saints 1-0 up harlee dean taps home doble's pass
The Kraken Posted 9 November, 2010 Posted 9 November, 2010 Doble almost makes it 2 moments later but his effort trickles wide of the far post
The Kraken Posted 9 November, 2010 Posted 9 November, 2010 43 mins GOAL! Saints 2-0 up callum mc nish taps home at far post from doble's pass almost identical to the first on the other side. Half time: Saints 2 Bompey 0.
The Kraken Posted 9 November, 2010 Posted 9 November, 2010 47 mins GOAL! Saints 3-0 up doble again with the assist for mcnish to grab his second of the game
doddisalegend Posted 9 November, 2010 Posted 9 November, 2010 Surely Doble is going to at least get on the bench soon for saints.
Matthew Le God Posted 9 November, 2010 Posted 9 November, 2010 Surely Doble is going to at least get on the bench soon for saints. He'll only get on the bench if it is felt he is a better option than Lambert, Barnard, Do Prado or Connolly. Or if one or more of them are injured/suspended. At the moment they are all playing well and are fit.
mdearlove Posted 9 November, 2010 Posted 9 November, 2010 62 mins GOAL! Saints 4-0 up now as Gobern keeps his cool to finish low from mc nish's pass
landford.saint Posted 9 November, 2010 Posted 9 November, 2010 He'll only get on the bench if it is felt he is a better option than Lambert, Barnard, Do Prado or Connolly. Or if one or more of them are injured/suspended. At the moment they are all playing well and are fit. Apart from Lambert.
Matthew Le God Posted 9 November, 2010 Posted 9 November, 2010 Apart from Lambert. I don't think Saints will be dropping Lambert for Doble anytime soon.
The Kraken Posted 9 November, 2010 Posted 9 November, 2010 70 mins GOAL! and that's number 5 as ben reeves crashes in a low shot from the right at the near post
jamesfp1 Posted 9 November, 2010 Posted 9 November, 2010 Apart from Lambert. 4th highest goalscorer and a hanful of assists, hardly time to drop him for a child
Matthew Le God Posted 9 November, 2010 Posted 9 November, 2010 Gobern, Jesus I'd forgotten about him. He was injured for most of the summer and early season with a hip injury.
doddisalegend Posted 9 November, 2010 Posted 9 November, 2010 He'll only get on the bench if it is felt he is a better option than Lambert, Barnard, Do Prado or Connolly. Or if one or more of them are injured/suspended. At the moment they are all playing well and are fit. Fair point but what about the whole Bignall loan why we couldn't have used Doble in the situation is beyond me? Doble could have come on and got a bit of first team action against the Daggers rather than some kid from Reading
SuperSAINT Posted 9 November, 2010 Posted 9 November, 2010 Good to see Oscar back. Wonder if he'll be sent out on loan to get some game time?
The Kraken Posted 9 November, 2010 Posted 9 November, 2010 10 mins or so left racine is on for mcnish. gobern and holmes also off as a few under 16s get late runs out
Saint-scooby Posted 9 November, 2010 Posted 9 November, 2010 Bless them out there in the rain. ps make it 6
Window Cleaner Posted 9 November, 2010 Posted 9 November, 2010 Bless them out there in the rain. ps make it 6 not really surprising, we are fielding a side with 3 or 4 players who have Championship experience.
once_bitterne Posted 9 November, 2010 Posted 9 November, 2010 Given that Pompey haven't been able to field the maximum number of subs on the bench how on earth can they play a reserve team? (or was it just a keeper and 4 outfield players playing?)
Matthew Le God Posted 9 November, 2010 Posted 9 November, 2010 Given that Pompey haven't been able to field the maximum number of subs on the bench how on earth can they play a reserve team? (or was it just a keeper and 4 outfield players playing?) It was Saints development squad vs Bournemouth reserves, not Saints vs Portsmouth reserves.
fish fingers Posted 9 November, 2010 Posted 9 November, 2010 Ahh, sorry misread as Pompey! LOL! Not to worry. You can always rely on MLG to correct any mistakes made.
Matthew Le God Posted 9 November, 2010 Posted 9 November, 2010 Highlights of the game are now on Saints Player.
Appy Posted 10 November, 2010 Posted 10 November, 2010 Did they sell out their allocation for this match?
