Everyone has one; a singer that when you hear them, just makes you stop in your tracks and listen. Who does it for you like that?

I've recently really gotten into the music of Janis Joplin - what an incredible voice she had! So much soul and emotion yet so much power...just amazing.

(Very) honourable mentions go to Robert Plant back in his Led Zep days and Louis Armstrong.

in my opinion 'the voice' is the one that you can close your eyes and listen and sort of feel your whole body and consciousness drift and almost float. it is a rare and beuatiful thing
