Badger Posted 19 November, 2010 Posted 19 November, 2010 142 Jimmy Gabriel being shown he is being sent off, whilst being carried off on a strecher at Elland Road (Allan Clarke I believe was still a crumpled mess on the deck!) and in the true spirit of The Alehouse 143. Ruddock running the length of The Dell to headbutt an opponent
Badger Posted 19 November, 2010 Posted 19 November, 2010 144. Hughie Fisher's last minute - injury time - equaliser in January 1976. Little did we know. 145. Hugh Fisher putting George Best in his pocket when the Fulham circus came to The Dell in October 1976. (Also in memory of my late father who always rated Hughie Fisher).
Badger Posted 19 November, 2010 Posted 19 November, 2010 (edited) 146. The Dell crowd, and the abuse it could dish out to opponents (Wodney Marsh and Mike Sumerbee especially) 147. The 'Docker's enclosure', and bar under the East Stand (where much of the abuse could come from). Edited 19 November, 2010 by Badger
Badger Posted 19 November, 2010 Posted 19 November, 2010 Has anyone mentioned Hughie Fisher yet? If you hear his name at a seance then its probably from my Dad.
sidthesquid Posted 19 November, 2010 Posted 19 November, 2010 Just a few random ones that may have been done already Micky Channon's testimonial after the FA cup final - must have been fifty thousand fans in the Dell Franny taking out that ***t Fashanu waist-high at Plough Lane and walking off Steve Moran's last minute winner at Nottarf Krap A forty year love affair (even with all the misery attached) from my first game - Saints 4 Derby 0 Davies 2, Channon 2, - me going with my parents & now going with my lad. Watching all those lads from Channon to Le Tiss to Bridgey pulling on an England shirt for the first time Laughing at Pompey walking up the steps at SMS, five minutes to kick-off, full-house under the floodlights, still gives me a shiver down my spine
