Just seen one of those Halifax adverts...

I'd tap the girl that breaks the handle of her mug, but aside from that I can't stand them either. Murder them all, but keep her as a sex slave.

(SNSUN would like to point out that he does not endorse the killing of advert actors at all, keeping one for sex slavery though is borderline.)

In the interests of sexual equality you should keep a slave of every sex.

Advertisers call it the 'annoyance factor', they use it to get attention of viewers. I'm surprised you haven't heard of it.

Surely it has the opposite effect though, I would never bank with or buy a Halifax product or give that window company the time of day. I would rather always use a local person (most things you need done, there is someone on here who can do it) than the national advertised companies.

The annoyance factor works best for little-known websites like GoCompare, Comparethemarket etc., advertising is hugely important to them because making the public aware of them is the main thing, not worrying about pishing people off.

Hard to see how this approach works for a large financial instituion, however. Everyone's heard of the Halifax. There's doubtless some clever reasoning behind it, but.

She even had her own tribute thread on here a while ago.

  • 1 month later...

I think the Iceland advert with Jason Donovan making a right t i t of himself is getting my blood pressure rising now.

God that annoying music, a mixture of the Can Can and a T Rex rift, advertising food that looks like it has been scraped off the pavement is driving me insane.

I'm a celeb has got a lot to answer for, as that is the time every year that Iceland bless us with their cheap tacky adverts using has been and meaningless celebs to advertise their pig swill which continues all through Dec until the new year.

Ahhhhhhhhhh

Why oh why did I just youtube that ISA baby advert, WHHHHYY??? I was totally oblivious to it, and now I am scarred for life...

Great comment posted below that Halifax ad.

"I find this add most annoying. I wish that girls head would fall off when she's nodding it in the guy's face. If I was him, I would punch her & say "Oi gargoyle!, keep your ****ing ugly mush out of my face & stop invading my personal space". I do not find her attractive, in fact, I wouldn't ride her into battle. Also, If that lialac tank top she is wearing is part of Halifax's corporate image, another waste of tax payers money. That colour makes me feel sick."
