Bushey Saint Posted 6 November, 2010 Posted 6 November, 2010 Had to laugh at the name of the Gillingham left-back sent off against Dover - 'Nutter'
Dr Who? Posted 6 November, 2010 Posted 6 November, 2010 Had to laugh at the name of the Gillingham left-back sent off against Dover - 'Nutter' I was hoping it was going to be an A Nutter, but it was a J, just wondering what Sir Jeff made of it?
hamster Posted 6 November, 2010 Posted 6 November, 2010 Well chuffed for I'd love t o get The Whites in R2, I'd really love it. John Nutter has been there for ages, a decent player. They filled the away end too, so fair play to everyone back home.
Chin Strain Posted 6 November, 2010 Posted 6 November, 2010 Chuffed for Dover. My birth place so would love to play them at their place in R2.
skintsaint Posted 7 November, 2010 Posted 7 November, 2010 same, lived their for 16 years so would be class for Saints to play them next round.

skintsaint Posted 7 November, 2010 Posted 7 November, 2010 Maxton, down off Folkestone Road. The area is as glamorous as it sounds

sandwichsaint Posted 7 November, 2010 Posted 7 November, 2010 I went yesterday - fantastic day out - Dover filled the away end at Priestfield and a really good atmosphere. Thought it might all be a bit bingo-bus but the away fans really got into it. Good game and Dover comfortably better than the Gills who have real problems at the moment. Loving the Saints - East Kent connections; I wore a Saints shirt yesterday and there were three seperate Saints fans who all came up to talk in the Livingstone Circus/Pub away area, then in the ground I spoke to two more peeps wearing Saints top/badges etc.

I would have gone too ahd saints not been at home, and again in the next round so best I could hope for is a saturday sunday split and take in two games in two days, would be a first for me.
mack rill Posted 9 November, 2010 Posted 9 November, 2010 Well done the Whites,,,,,was born a stones throw away from crable Hill
Colinjb Posted 9 November, 2010 Posted 9 November, 2010 Loving the Saints - East Kent connections As a Man of Kent born in Ashford, who had been nurtured into the ways of football watching Margate at Hartsdown Park, I can confess to being less then impressed at Dover's victory. Wonderful advert for Kent football either way! There is surely space for more then one football league club in that county.

Didn;t realise that you were actually from Ashford Col, they've had some decent spells at non league over the past, why not follow them? In fact if you google my real name you will find a rellie who played many times for Ashford, Dover, Folkestone, Gillingham AND Margate scored a few goals too, it's in our blood being good in the box.

I still maintain there is the potential there for a league club in Thanet. As for Ashford Town, sorry, Homelands is just too dead as far as atmosphere goes. It all went downhill for them when they left Essella Park. Such a shame they have had to withdraw from the Isthmian League. Well, Kent league here they come.

Was at the Homelands watching Maidstone going down 4-2 to Cray last night the place is pretty bland and uninspired, but would be OK if only it wasn't in the middle of nowhere. Better than Sittingbourne, but!
