Danish Saint Posted 8 November, 2010 Posted 8 November, 2010 I'm sure all this about Connolly being injured a lot is all Corteses fault!! Cortese OUT.....and Connolly back in the treatment room!!!!!!
thesaint sfc Posted 8 November, 2010 Posted 8 November, 2010 It's sickening to think how often Connolly is in the treatment room. In fact so sickening, that I myself am going to the treatment room.
Big Bad Bob Posted 8 November, 2010 Posted 8 November, 2010 For mine he's one of the most complete strikers in the division. But his injury record concerns me somewhat..
Big Bad Bob Posted 8 November, 2010 Posted 8 November, 2010 In fact his injury record is such that if he was a GI in a war zone he'd be the most decorated GI!!
hughieslastminutegoal Posted 8 November, 2010 Posted 8 November, 2010 He's the best striker at the club when fit, no doubt. But he'll probably be back in the treatment room soon. Let me put it another way but with a subtle change in the probability to make it more accurate in my opinion: He'll be back in the treatment room soon, no doubt. He's probably the best striker at the club when fit.

bender Posted 8 November, 2010 Posted 8 November, 2010 Was sat next to the subs bench today. As Connolly was about to go on Adkins said to him "It's your turn now to get the goal"... Star Yeah I was right next to the bench too. I heard Adkins say "You're a great striker but you'll be back in the treatment room soon"
Giordano Posted 8 November, 2010 Posted 8 November, 2010 È probabilmente il miglior attaccante al nostro club ma è troppo incline di essere ferito, temo. Thats what I think anyway.
Deppo Posted 8 November, 2010 Posted 8 November, 2010 I would agree with your sentiment As for higher level - i'm not sure if anyone has any stats for this but i believe he is prone to injury This is true, IMHO he is prone to injury, and this concerns me somewhat. However, I would argue (dont shoot the messenger) that he is probably the best striker at the club (IMHO) when fit.
Big Bad Bob Posted 8 November, 2010 Posted 8 November, 2010 Han är en av de mest kompletta anfallarna i divisionen. Men hans skada rekord som oroar mig något
hughieslastminutegoal Posted 8 November, 2010 Posted 8 November, 2010 He'll be back in the treatment room soon, when fit. He's probably the best striker at the club no doubt. He's at the back of the best treatment room probably, the club striker no doubt.
100%Red&White Posted 8 November, 2010 Posted 8 November, 2010 If you're looking for a top striker and natural goal scorer although it's got to be said, just a little prone to injury then David Connolly's your man.
Viking Warrior Posted 8 November, 2010 Posted 8 November, 2010 Apparently the issue Postman Pat was on about Re waiting for a story re Connolly. was/is true NC is about to announce that the new phyiso and medical facilities about to be revealed at Staplewood will be called the David Connolly Suite. NC wanted to keep it under wraps but it has been leaked to media

100%Red&White Posted 8 November, 2010 Posted 8 November, 2010 Eggshell Nutshell. David Connolly, knees like eggshell.
thesaint sfc Posted 8 November, 2010 Posted 8 November, 2010 I've done some research into this to see if anyone else can confirm it. I notice Chris Hutchings had the following to say: Connolly could be back in the Saints team to face Walsall tomorrow after recovering from a groin problem, and Hutchings is fully aware of just how good he is. He said: “He shouldn’t really be playing at this level. He’s been injured on and off in the last couple of seasons and it’s a fresh challenge for him. “When he’s fit he’s a good player. “He was a big star at Watford and went abroad to Feyenoord. He has played at the highest level and knows he can score. “He’s has had an injury, he wasn’t playing in midweek (in Saints’ 1-0 win against Wycombe at St Mary’s) so it remains to be seen if he plays. Pretty much confirms our general feeling, that he is prone to injury, however quite possibly the best striker at the club when fit.

amsterdam Posted 8 November, 2010 Posted 8 November, 2010 I'll probably get slated for this, BUT a VERY good source (my fictional friend who "works" at St Mary's) has it on very good authority that both Cortese and Adkins don't doubt that DC is one of the best strikers we have; HOWEVER, they also believe that he'll be back in the treatment room soon. Not saying I'm ITK or anything, but if the Echo get hold of this then remember you heard it here first....
