Giamlarrahan Posted 5 November, 2010 Posted 5 November, 2010 As the title says really. He deserves it IMO!

Third Division South Days Posted 5 November, 2010 Posted 5 November, 2010 Based on last 6 matches Form Guide Saints top with Brighton 1 point behind.
Saint_Ash Posted 5 November, 2010 Posted 5 November, 2010 Based on last 6 matches Form Guide Saints top with Brighton 1 point behind. Means nowt as it's for October, in october we won 4 and lost 1 and I think Brighton won 4 and drew 1. Either way, at the end of October Brighton were top of the form table I'm sure. Surely Poyet winning last month and carrying on brilliantly to be nominated again this month dispels the rubbish myth about teams underperforming after the manager wins the monthly prize.
Jez Posted 5 November, 2010 Posted 5 November, 2010 Now on the OS too http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2208911,00.html Dunno why they bother 'nominating' multiple managers. Just decide on one manager and give him the award, it's like somewhere someone has a meeting to decide what to talk about in the next meeting, when they then pick a winner.
hypochondriac Posted 5 November, 2010 Posted 5 November, 2010 Hope Poyet wins it coz its a jinx. Like last month you mean?
georgeweahscousin Posted 5 November, 2010 Posted 5 November, 2010 Well deserved nomination. He will be beaming if he wins it.
SuperMikey Posted 5 November, 2010 Posted 5 November, 2010 Well deserved nomination. He will be beaming if he wins it. Lets hope his dentures don't fall out then
Turkish Posted 5 November, 2010 Posted 5 November, 2010 As the title says really. He deserves it IMO! should be Gus Poyet really, 11 goals 2 against and unbeaten, 2 great away wins at promtion rivals with 7 goals for and 0 against and 8 points clear at the top of the table. You cant really do much more than that.
scott_saints Posted 5 November, 2010 Posted 5 November, 2010 Irvine? Lol, the Wednesday fans absolutely detest him at the moment.
Toadhall Saint Posted 5 November, 2010 Posted 5 November, 2010 NA gets my vote (but then I am biased).
hasper57saint Posted 5 November, 2010 Posted 5 November, 2010 I for one hope he dosen't win it. A team in 'Sash shirts' lost 3 - 1 to a team in 'Blue Shirts' last night. Is this an omen?
hutch Posted 5 November, 2010 Posted 5 November, 2010 Can't ask for a lot more in his first full month in charge, really. Well done!
Picard Posted 5 November, 2010 Posted 5 November, 2010 Surely a south coast double with Steve Cotterill winning the championship award!

SNSUN Posted 5 November, 2010 Posted 5 November, 2010 Most of those kits made by Wuperts "S" brand were very poor quality with uneven collars and terrible sewn in badges only the later ones improved. This new umbro gear is so much better value for your dosh but still expensive IMO. You've swung me. Adkins for MOTM.
Dimond Geezer Posted 11 November, 2010 Posted 11 November, 2010 Went to Andy Scott of Brentford. phew!!
buctootim Posted 11 November, 2010 Posted 11 November, 2010 Always knew we'd win nothing with Adkins.
Window Cleaner Posted 11 November, 2010 Posted 11 November, 2010 Why? probably because they got a draw with Birmingham in the Carling Cup...although they subsequently lost on penalties. Anyway all those awards and "team of the week" are just utter crap. Can't possibly be based on reality unless all the judges (or electors) see all the performances every week.
Saint_John Posted 11 November, 2010 Posted 11 November, 2010 The Nominees were :- http://www.football-league.co.uk/league1/news/20101105/npower-manager-of-the-month_2248206_2208590 which states that the Panel was :- The award will be debated by the expert npower Manager of the Month panel chaired by Alan Curbishley. Also passing judgment will be Olaf Dixon of the League Managers Association, Andy Williamson representing The Football League, SKY Sports' Football League Analyst Peter Beagrie, Mark Clemmit of BBC One's The Football League Show and Emma Collins, npower Head of Sponsorship. The final results was :- http://www.football-league.co.uk/page/ManageroftheMonthArticle/0,,10794,00.html I believe Alan Curbishley is a very good friend of a certain ex-leftback of ours (if it is him), I wonder if he put in a good word (sic) for us (for example http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qn4161/is_20031214/ai_n12882467/ ) ...Alan Curbishley was a great mate of mine and lived just across the road from me...
Charlie Wayman Posted 11 November, 2010 Posted 11 November, 2010 "At this moment in time it's all about winning football matches and not thinking too much about winning awards. It's about winning football matches in a certain style and if come next week those who judge these things think we are going in the right way then we can go all go full out for the awards..."
