buctootim Posted 3 November, 2010 Posted 3 November, 2010 Any ideas how i check a sites authenticity? the site in question is http://www.uggs-shop.com/ seems very cheap to me! The the wife and the eldest daughter want new Uggs and this site looks almost affordable, just dont want to be scammed! Looks like knockoffs to me. Baj Posted 4 November, 2010 Posted 4 November, 2010 they are fake. Sad to say I know a lot about sheepskin slippers and boots, mainly because I run one of the biggest sites in the uk for sheepskin slippers.
Saintandy666 Posted 4 November, 2010 Posted 4 November, 2010 I like a good old google search. The companies name straight off and then the companies name plus obvious words like scam etc etc Has never failed me.
Jeff Le Taxi Posted 4 November, 2010 Author Posted 4 November, 2010 they are fake. Sad to say I know a lot about sheepskin slippers and boots, mainly because I run one of the biggest sites in the uk for sheepskin slippers. So who's got the best deal on real Uggs then Baj?
hamster Posted 4 November, 2010 Posted 4 November, 2010 Are Uggs not bad for one's feet? Can't help noticing that they usually vear inwardly.
angelman Posted 5 November, 2010 Posted 5 November, 2010 and be careful with sites that say "no sales tax" and then say that they are shipping from Australia. You might get a bill, Duty and VAT.
saint boggy Posted 5 November, 2010 Posted 5 November, 2010 Am i the only person who thinks Ugg boots are bloody ....well........UGLY .......... they look like old ladies slipper-boot things and ,as somoeone else stated, they ALWAYS weardown and vear inward.......it looks bloody awful!
Jimmy_D Posted 5 November, 2010 Posted 5 November, 2010 "2) Websites with UGG in the name In Aug 2009 UGG® Australia issued an explicit conterfeit warning on their official website. To summarise: Any website’s domain name (thats the bit before the .com or .co.uk) that has the three letters ‘ugg’ in it, is not selling UGG® Australia brand. For example the website uggbootsforsale.com is therefore not legit because it has UGG in the domain name. This nows covers 90% of the sites you might be concerned about however we are not done quite yet some sites are even more shameless and use the legal name UGG® Australia and have a domain name without UGG in it." Definitely fake.
